This is our first time riding a first class overnight train and what an experience! The sleeper train in Vietnam was truly unforgettable and has fast become a favourite mode of travel :)
This ride was from Hanoi to Da Nang took 19hours and was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had.

I have to comment on this video, about you guys and about the train. You guys have such a positive attitude and "let bygone be bygone". Many people would get really angry at repeated delays on the train departure but you guys made the most of it (found another eatery w good food). The other one is about the remodeled train. I had made some very critical comment/feedback about the VN train in older videos, saying how VN had improved so many of its touring industry from hotel, to food, to logistics, to its air and bus and taxi and scooter transportation ..... EXCEPT for the train. I said the overnight train should be one of those uniquely VN thing for foreigners to enjoy as it allows people to avoid one night of hotel cost while doing something unique for non-European tourists BUT I was quite critical of its dirty toilets and extreme cold cabins. Well seeing your video, I'm glad to see that the train had improved on both counts, notably the toilet. Now it's just a matter of the train operating staff going in to clean it regularly during the ride to make sure it stays clean. I'm truly glad VN railways is making some progress on this aspect and wish the country well.

Thank you for your kind words 🤗 to us, delays are just a part of travelling. As much as we can, we try not to let it bother us and just with the flow. There are times we get frustrated with this but the reality is, more often than not there’s nothing we can do about it anyway lol might as well just have a beer 😅 We were also very pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the train. It was really overall a good experience for us. It was our first train travel ever and we look forward to more. If there is one thing I’ve learned though, I should really use the pillow covers that I pack on trips 😅 Thanks again for watching our videos and commenting on them. Good video! SE19/20 is a new high-class train that has just been put into operation since October 2023. Hopefully the staff will keep it clean throughout the journey and long afterward.

Thanks Tim! We actually had so much fun on this ride. It was our first time on a train and to be honest it turned out to be a perfect introductory ride for us hehehe. Was so pleasantly surprised by the bathroom situation. And yes, hopefully will only get better for the future :)

@timnguyen361 Hi ! You seem pretty aware. I've been looking for some informations all day about that new SE20 train. Do you know if all the cabins in all the SE20 are new? Because i found tickets on dsvn for ±800K đ, but i'm wondering if it's a new or an old train... Because if it's an old one, i might prefer booking a ticket on the lotus train cabins (still in the SE20 train though), but it's double the price.

How much is the cost of the ticket from Hanoi to Da Nang? Also, is there wifi available? or does your sim wifi work?

Hi! You can check the ticket prices on bookaway.com the ticket prices vary depending on the train and time schedule. We rode the refurbished one. I don’t remember there to be WiFi but the sim works. Of course there are dead spots since the train is moving, but for the most part it was pretty decent :)

@@tram-anhn4674 yes we knew it was the refurbished train when we booked :) we booked through bookaway.com you can see the pictures. The problem is, we didn’t get to choose our seats and we were automatically assigned to different rooms :( we just asked another passenger to swap seats. We booked the tickets the night before we left 😅
