The most of our Bangladeshi media, and news channels presentation isn’t clear. They dont providing clear news of protest. They fear the Awami League government, or are sponsored by them. So they are not speaking properly for the protesters. Thank you for making our point so beautifully. I am also a student. #savebangladeshstudents
I disagree. Bangladeshi media IS clearly reporting. They are showing the violence, the protests, the police actions and the violence of the pro-gov hoodlums. They are highlighting the demands of the protesters and reported the statements made by government ministers etc. They are showing the reactions of other people. They are reporting more or less on everything, albeit in a measured, professional tone. That's the problem I think. It looks like the pro-protesters want the local media to take their side openly and blatantly, become their propaganda wing, trash and blame the government constantly for everything in a very aggressive and loud manner, perhaps somewhat hysterically to appease the protesters, and overall engage in an all-out media/propaganda war against the government. If that's your expectation, then it's an extremely childish irrational one. It will not happen. Not because the media is pro-government (they are definitely not) or fearful, but because it is run by matured professional people. They are reporting in a measured objective manner and I hope they will continue to do so. By the way, you will notice, there are lots of media personalities / journalists / commentators who are strongly criticizing the government, its policies and actions and supporting the protesters' demands on this issue -- both online and offline. So, it's not like your demands are going unheard, the violence and unfair treatment that you were subjected to are being hidden. All or most of it is being reported. Everyone knows perfectly well what's going on and why! But the Bangladeshi media is covering all aspects of the situation, perhaps a bit timidly and not as _fiercely_ as you might prefer, but nevertheless, they are covering everything, including opposing views and statements too, which is also part of their job, duty and responsibility.

We (Bangladeshi) students are currently peacefully protesting against the quota, but the Student League, a government organization, ambushed us. Thousands of people were injured, and many were killed in the attack. At this moment, we need you very much because the journalists of our country are on the side of the government. They have no news on this issue. They are not promoting this issue. Seeking freedom has now become a crime for us. Please post a video on this issue so that this news reaches international media. We need the help of international media now. Please help our students.
