Dhaka, Bangladesh ➖ Many people have told me, that the best food to try in Bangladesh is a home-cooked meal. So, my friend ‪@NadirOnTheGoBangla‬ invited me to his house where his mother prepared us an amazing lunch. It was a great experience learning the cooking process and finally being able to taste some delicious home-cooked goodness!

Homecooked Bangladeshi food is the bestttt, usually there's like 10 different dishes if there's more guests such as meat curries, fish curries, prawn curries, vegetable sides etc, blessed to be from Desh. Alhamdulilah

Jayfol(জায়ফল) is Nutmeg and Mace (জয়ত্রী- Jayeetri). Nutmeg is widely used in the world and most Nutmeg is found in Granada Island and other places. Mace is the sister spice of nutmeg. Nutmeg trees are the only plant to give us two spices. (

The sweet yogurt is actually one of our GI (Geographical Indication) products. Bogura is famously known as the city of Sweet yogurt which is in the North-west of Bangladesh. But other places of our country has it's own version of sweet yogurt and people love so much all of them.

Not everyone has a good relationship with their parents. I'm not taking anyone's side, but he's obviously bitter for a reason. We don't know the reason. We don't know how he gets treated at home by his parents. Bangladeshi parents can be very abusive behind closed doors and very "kind" to outsiders. Not saying that's Nadir's parents, but mostly, that's the case.

For Nadir: Claypot is hugely used in China, Japan, Korea, France, Portugal, France, UK, Germany, and many other countries in Asia. Fancy Japanese restaurant cooked many things with clay pots. some big clay pots cost thousands of dollars.
