The Sundarbans are the largest mangrove forest and sanctuary for a number of the world's most endangered species. The forest has the largest single population of Bengal tigers in the world. But this unique ecosystem is under threat. We have to act now. We can save the Sunderbans - not just for us, but for generations to come.
This documentary is based on the study ‘Securing a Resilient Future for the Bangladesh Sundarbans’ supported by the Australian, British, Netherlands, Norwegian, and Finnish governments and the South Asia Water Initiative. The study was coordinated with Ministry of Environment and Forests (MOEF) and Bangladesh Forest Department (BFD) and had contributions from international experts, IUCN Bangladesh, CEGIS, IWM and BCAS.
