In the case of Bangladesh, I think students don't even need to protest because the government has no influence here. In 2018, the government canceled all quotas following a movement. Now, a writ has reinstated the quotas in the High Court, and the Attorney General has taken the matter to the Appellate Division. From there, a verdict will likely be issued either to cancel the quota system or to create a new plan.

Employees at the BCS can make far more money through corruption than those in other sectors, earning up to 500/1000 crore or more after couple of decades. Some government staff are more rich and powerful than ministers. Why they only protest against bcs quota? I disagree with the protest since students remain mute regarding lower-paying professions in the primary education sector (almost 85% quota) and railway sector (almost 60% quota). But end of the day, students are logically correct in this protest. Even more hilarious is the fact that your entire bloodline will gets benefit if you are a freedom fighter. And there's a lots of registered freedom fighters who are born after 1971 😵‍💫

There is an important things to know here that the government forcefully brought the grandsons of the freedom fighters under the quota where the grandsons have no contribution in the liberation war and also the quota benefits are going on among the children of the freedom fighters.. In Bangladesh One quota can be used multiple times. If a freedom fighter has 5 children and each child has 2 children, then the total quota of that family will be 5*2=10 (grandson quota) + (10+5)=15 (including freedom fighter's children). The state is already providing adequate allowances to freedom fighters and their families and their wife's. We are so much tired for this hypocrisy.

In our country🇧🇩🇧🇩 there is #96%_quotas in Primary Education job, #85%_in Railway job 56%in BCS IS it TOLERABLE!!?? one freedom fighters having at least 20 grand children all of them are privileged by quota in school, University and job even in promotion.

Quota system in govt job was suspended earlier (2018) due to countrywide protest in Bangladesh. Recently court gave decision on re-instating the previous quota system, that's the reason behind protest. And for those does not know about quota disparity--There are 50-60% quota (varied from job to job). In BCS (similar to UPSC) There is 56% quota,,can u imagine!!! Among them 30 % quota is titled freedom fighters, but there are no freedom fighters and even their children are eligible due to age limit. These 30% quota is for grandchildren of freedom fighters, How ridiculus!!! That's why many students whose grandparents were freedom fighters are also doing this protest along with general students
