About the video -
In the video I have tried to give you all a detailed information about the Fixed Deposit premature withdrawal/closure penalty charges of all banks . Premature penalty are levied by banks when a fixed deposit (FD) is closed before the completion of the full FD tenure i.e the tenure selected at the time of opening the FD. In case of premature withdrawal, the investor has to pay a certain amount as a penalty to the bank. The amount charged by the bank as a penalty is generally from 0.50 % to 1.00 % of the interest. Hope my video will be helpful to all.

We are unable to liquidate your Fixed Deposit since the source account from which your FD was originally booked is closed/blocked. Please visit your HDFC Bank Branch for liquidating the Fixed Deposit.

So far I got from the video there are two things : one premature penalty deduction so to say 0.50 or 1 percent of the amount of investment and second payment of interest at time of withdrwal as per time period and rate of minimum decided. Please, guide me that it's what you mentioned in the video or different.

you have shown that deduction on invested amount for premature closing will be 0.05% for investment less than Rs. 5 lakhs, but your calculation shows it is 0.5%.(0.5% of 3 lakhs is 1500 whereas 0.05%is 150). please check up and correct , if wrong. gopalan

if the panetly amount is same, then why will someone do an FD for less period, they will always go for an high period/tenure FD right?which will land them more interest rate even if in the case of premature closure..isnt it...in that case ill always do a FD for 5yrs or more period so even if i prematurely cancle my FD, ill get more interest rate which I would get if i do a less tenure FD and then close it early..??advise

Sir, One of my FD for 1 year period was on "Auto renew and pay principle &interest". I withdrew the amount 2 days after it got renewed after 1 year period. Premature withdrawal penalty is charged. Is it correct? Plan let me know the rules on this. Thanks .

सर खाता बन्द होने के बाद अब पुरानी fD मिली है, अब ये विधड्रॉल नहीं हो रही है क्या करे ये 2005 मे मेचूअरिटी होनी थी और अब ये बैंक वाले तो कह रहे है कि उन को उस FD का रिकॉर्ड ही नहीं मिल रहा है जबकि बैंक में तो 1 - 1 रूपये का रिकॉर्ड होता है । अब क्या करूं मैं ?

मुझे ये बताईए कि 3 लाख रुपया मैने FD की तीन सालों के लिए 7% की रेट से और हमने 6 वार्स तक छोड़ दी तो क्या मुझे 7% कि रेट से 6 साल तक ब्याज मिलेगा या नहीं क्यों की हमने 3 साल के लिए ही किया था
