Adding the pitch to your casting arsenal is essential in growing as an angler. Bank anglers who are just beginning their bass fishing journey will benefit greatly by practicing this method…EARLY! The pitch allows you to efficiently present your bait around wood laydowns, docks, brush, etc.
The subtle underhand method of pitching is key to getting a FINicky bass to BITE! This video will cover everything from where to hold the bait, how to move your rod, and some tips to help avoid backlashes!
******* COMMENT BELOW *******
Do you flip/pitch? Do you still have troubles with this method of casting?

Adam Wilson I had a friend wanting to try my baitcaster (has never used one before and I decided to take a break and sit down to eat and I showed him a couple of times how it works) so I’m sitting there eating and drinking and he his next to me about to cast and right when he swings the frog around bam!!! Hooks me in the back of the head and causes a hell of a backlash lmfao... his face was priceless!!!!

Debo: Another “Classic Debo”, that I have saved to my favorites amongst many other classic “Debo’s” that I watch repeatedly, and which I glean over and over again, those choice morsels of fishing wisdom. Again, with the highest praise for the impulse to teach, you are a Teacher.

Love the vid! I found out due to experience that throwing from the wrist can cause pain when throwing some heavier lures, but I don’t know if this also counts for you bass fishers. When it comes to pike however, you might want to change it up a bit. For example letting your rod butt sit against your forearm. This will save you alot of pain if you’re throwing 2 oz + baits

I like to point my elbow up and use wrist and forearm. Definitely one of those techniques that you have to work with rod length and your height. Great video as always brother

Az Scout ABSOLUTELY! Arm up, follow through, etc. Everyone tweaks it a bit, it's truly an art. Thanks for watching man!

I see much practice in my future. Think I’ll have to go more sidearm as it’ll be used from a kayak but we’ll see how it goes. Awesome stuff man! As always.
