I just got bored of the cards pinging out when you’re trying to be quick in a queue. 😆 Also, not a fan of keep folding cash, however, that seems to be my way forward with my chosen wallets.
This one is easy, the ridge all day with the ability to take it apart and replace the elastic for about 6 bucks vs half off of $65 if the Bankr wears out.
I carried the ridge for about a year. One thing to be aware of, over time, I lost a screw from the plate. Just one. I will say though, support from the company was awesome. I also had an issue with the cash band, but they have since changed that band from when I originally ordered, so likely no longer an issue.
Agreed, all I can see is good customer service. If I remember right, the Titanium Ridge came with some extra screws, did you have that one or the Aluminum?
@@walletopia had the aluminum. I did get extras, can't recall if I bought them or they just sent them to me. They did send me a free band based on the Pilling that was happening.
You'd think so, but I'm not sure. I've carried the Ridge, but not the Bankr, so I'll likely need to take it out for a spin. In testing, the backer elastic didn't really seem to matter much. Besides that there is the repairability of the Ridge which is nice over Bankr, but if you're a clean lines type person, the Bankr wins.
Yes, it's absolutely a personal preference thing. For those who want an upgrade from a rubber band and like the stacked model these work great. For those who prefer traditional wallets and materials, these never seem to click.
@mikeisu it is like minimalist vs usability. If you wanna be real estate minimalist - just scan all your gift cards, add gpay/apple pay/samsung pay and throw wallet to trash bin as you don't need it anymore
Nice review, however I feel you missed one of the greatest advantages of the banker. With he banker if you push up the cards from the bottom and the. Squeeze the bottom together wouldn't that 'fan out' the cards so you can see which one you want to grab??? I have done that type of action with similar minimalist wallets and it is great. The downside (and reason I don't buy the Ridge) is that you basically have to pull all the cards out to find the one you want.
Yes, the pinch method is something all the sandwich wallet makers talk about. I've certainly not mastered it as one time they all exploded out at car rental counter one time 😂
Band / sandwich wallet, ridge is the best, heck i still switch to ridge time to time even its a bit cumbersome . just for the feel and estethics , thanks for the comparison.
There is a tutorial on RU-vid how to make Ridge wallet with both strap and money clip, I did that to my own, so I keep my work ID/Access card under the strap and on other side is the money clip.
@@walletopia Here is the video tutorial. Wallet is the first gen but it works with the new versions cause the wallet is basicaly the same. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fDZjWBJwshc.html
The rage seems like a better wallet cuz you don't have to replace the entire wallet if it messes up you only have to replace the parts that mess up the biker messes up you have to replace the entire wallet
@@walletopia I've been considering getting the ridge wallet for a while now I still carry a trifold wallet I think it's about time for an upgrade at some point
To be honest, why would you not just use a rubber band to hold your cards? You don’t need plastic to protect your plastic cards...this sounds like a pocket protector protector...
Yep, that's an often made argument. I've seen many who are rubber band guys who want to upgrade who go this way, but that's if they aren't price conscious, which is usually why they use rubber bands :)
Not yet, but there have been many requests. I'm thinking of grabbing a number of their knockoffs of larger brands we see and compare how they stack up.
Their Fold wallet is a very common design, not sure if they invented it or not. Crazy Horse Craft and many Etsy makers sell the same design. We have one in our inventory.
Where are the Bankr and Ridge wallets made? I know they're designed in the USA but are they made in the USA or somewhere else like China? To my knowledge, the Aviator wallets are made in Germany.
Looks to be a new Chinese brand that hit Amazon with several wallets. The one you listed is a derivative of the Bellroy Slim Sleeve, a very popular design, many companies make variations of that design.
Hello, amazing chanel. I have the Scried Cardslide wallet. Pretty sure you would love to do a review on that on. It can even fit coins in it. And it's so compact. 😁😁😁 Keep up the good work.
