Thanks! I'm super busy working on it. The printed circuit board layout for the prototype is supposed to be finished. I plan to post a video once the board is populated, so folks can see what it looks like.
I had a ridge they are very small and useful but my tool damage it. Also don t lose the screw driver if you do the bolt will get lose. I have a Dango Dapper now i like them too. I think they look nicer.
I have the ridge and contour. Dango is too big and Ridge is ok but I love the trayvax i am using a Secrid wallet now and love it these 3 are the same size
I worked as a cashier for 10 months in a thrift store and the only time I saw contactless payment be used was when someone use their cell phone to pay I've never seen someone unless it was in a video touch their card to the side of the reader to pay it's only chip or magnetic strip so I don't think you need the RFID blocking I told one of the managers that someone paid with their phone and the manager stared at me like he thought I was lying
It's not really contactless that we're talking about. Many new credit cards have touchpay, which can be skimmed with a nearby reader. The good news is that most RFID wallets do a great job of preventing this. There are also products like the VAULTCARD, which can be added to any wallet to prevent it.
Dont' lose that torx driver with the Ridge. I have been carrying a Ridge for about 3 years now and I am ready to move on to something else. I want a minimalist wallet that doesn't need maintenance. I have had to order replacement screws for this Ridge twice. They work loose and fall out. Those screws need to be checked occasionally for tightness... I am considering a the Dango but haven't looked at the Trayvax yet... tnx for the review.
ManCaveMeals I have been carrying a dango dapper bifold wallet for over a year already. The leather is great and the screws have never backed out. They make all sorts of different wallets for every person. I’m ordering a DTEX pen conversion kit for my dapper frame. I’m telling you go check it out the website. Some many different ways to make a wallet custom to your likings. Good luck
Cool video, thanks for sharing. I have the Ridge wallet in black aluminum, love it. I got tired of feeling like I was sitting on a small animal each time I sat down with a traditional wallet in my back pocket.
If you want a premium wallet that's built like a tank go for one of the dango titanium versions. They're expensive but worth every single dollar. I have the Dango T02 Titanium wallet. it's $189 but great al day!
I’ve had my T02 three pocket for nearly 3years now, it’s been the best wallet I’ve ever owned. The titanium plates holds up to rigorous daily use and still look brand new. I’m upgrading the leather on it to accommodate the titanium pen to go with it. 👍🏼
@@mikerzisu9508 I think it's hard to get cards out of it. That's probably the case for me because I live in dry climate and since my hands are so dry, I can't get a grip on the cards I need.
@@JiuJitus1210 yeah I can see that. I usually keep my most common cards on either side of the stack, and if I need one in the middle I pinch the bottom of the wallet which is still a bit cumbersome but works. Having less cards in it helps too. Regardless of that issue though, the look, feel and size of it are just fantastic imo.
@Tobi Gibbons I will admit I am not a huge fan of how much you have to mess with it to get cards out, especially the middle cards. But the size, weight, aesthetic and build quality more than make up for it. I don't think I can use a bigger wallet again. I just got a new one in the forged ember carbon, it is absolutely sick
Yes, that's right. RFID is essentially done by getting close enough to the card to read the information remotely. The RFID-protected wallets just use a layer of metal to shield this sort of snooping.
I will answer to your negativity. First WTF are you carrying in your wallet ? Even the smallest (Rift) does the job. Maybe if you clean your wallet sometime. The tool are useful when you don t want to use your teeth and you need to use something to cut a rope for exemple. I guess your wife does the manual work jaja.
these wallets are aimed at those folks that are always just "a little short" or "left their credit/debit card at home" when it's time to pay the bill. FFS, y'all are adults; just get a bigger wallet. 🤬
J'ai déja eu un ridge et ils sont excellent. J'ai maintenant un Dango Dapper super aussi. J'aime mieux le look de Dango par contre. Il y en a en cuir aussi.
Everyone has their own preferences. I started carrying a Trayvax about a year ago, and I love it. Very secure and rugged, and just the right size for what I carry.
Are you stupid? Unusable? Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of people using them. They are ultra small, low maintenance, very light, extremely durable and dont look like you have a tumor growing out of our you ass from keeping a wallet from 1980 in your back pocket. Your opinion is crap, sorry to tell ya
