Yes, I mean saying that you better give me something good otherwise I'm joining the other side is a valid diplomatic approach, but in real life it is risky and that risk should be reflected in the game

You can still get a bankroll, but you have to be fairly powerful and the war has to be a real threat.

A tutorial on substitution would probably be very useful for people, I’ve seen people get super angry at the fact their pops are radicalizing rapidly the second they get automobiles because peasants want 20k of them lol

If reverse sways are dead that seems to mean sovereign empire is now clearly the best principle cause the alternative for subjects is gone

The subject infamy to reduce autonomy is bugged for 1.7.4. It’ll say that it costs 44 to reduce autonomy on Korea as Great Qing for example. It only costs 11. They fixed the tooltip, just forgot to program it in 😂

17:50 Yes! Good idea. Have switching which side you're supporting cost infamy, and maybe a relations hit with all the countries still siding with the one you're abandoning as well (scaled by how important the directly involved countries are to those 3rd parties?)

25:44 is it the "NULL_STATE" construction queue one? Because that one pissed me off so much and seeing it fixed was such a relief maybe that was the one edit: it says NULL_OBJ in the patchnotes but it's the same thing

The upgrade conscripts was dead as of 1.7.3, but you can at least get line infantry with peasant levy.

It was fun while it lasted, but deep down we all knew this was not supposed to work this way ;D PS. Yea, it's always great to watch you yapping over a spreadsheet about some small mechanic, so even if they fixed the Wine I think I'd be great to understand what was going on

Thanks for this. Always useful! I have one question that hasnt been addressed yet in the first 4 patches of 1.7 and I am wondering if I missing something. It's regarding Corn Laws. When playing a backward country like Sokoto, Corn Laws fires instantly because grain is too expensive. I dont think you can avoid it.Then you are stuck with it for half the game, because before you can complete the journal through implementing free trade, a lot needs to happen (unless you cheese it through backing down an "open up market" wargoal from a great power). This feels like a bug and not very fun. What is your view on Corn Laws in 1.7?

So instead of going for reverse sways to get bankrolling, you now go for good relations and try to get bankrolling by siding with them in diplo plays? I think in the end you just get the bank rolls later this way. You also need to spend more influence to maintain good relations.

This way of getting rid of yoyo sways is just dumb the way to fix it is to properly calculate the reluctance to do things the ai shouldnt be 4x more willing to become a protectorate then give some random state and sometimes litteraly having negative reluctance to bankroll
