This will seem COMPLETELY RANDOM, but I’ve been struggling with horrible anxiety and your videos are helping soothe me. The content is awesome and fascinating, but the calmness of the tour and your voice is relaxing! Thank you!
Omg not crazy at all-- SAME!! I listen actually before bed… so calming!!! Any chance this career doesn’t work out you (Bankz) could try a calming app? Lol
I live in Oklahoma. It is so upsetting to me that beautiful homes like this are torn down to be turned into commercial property. It is happening more and more.
That's sad part about America, always tear down without thinking something could be saved an build around or incorporate it to the overall planning. 😢 😕 😪💔
I bet someone would be able to repair this place and return the whole property to its former glory. There's so much that can be done. A family could make this whole place a wonderful home
What a gorgeous home. Very family oriented, lots of storage. I'd live there in a heartbeat. It's sad to see beautiful houses demolished for commercial building. Especially when affordable housing is desperately needed everywhere. Another great explore. Thanks for showing us this property. Someone put a lot of effort into making this a comfortable place for themselves and animals.
Love that home. They lie so much about how they want to go green, yet, demolish a perfectly good home. Then use all kinds of materials, that go against green in just by using them.
All of this green talk is mostly just lip service, a selling point. At the end of the day, we’re still the same throwaway society that we’ve always been. The community I call home is one of those that loves to tout itself as “green”, and yet everywhere I look, I see cool old homesteads being leveled to make way for new commercial developments and apartment complexes. If it’s not that, they’re clearing 20+ acres of woods to construct a bunch of half million dollar homes on top of each other, or bulldozing existing structures to build newer, gaudier ones in their place.
Absolutely, global warming and all that stuff is a sham and it pains to see banks seize properties and everything in them if people can’t keep up with payments and they do nothing with them meanwhile there are people out there are homeless or becoming homeless because of the times we are in. Yet places like this one and many others who still have valuables in them just rotting away. I’ll never understand that. There is so much waste in western society it’s sick.
That back room with all the cabinets and nice wooden countertops- I was thinking two things: 1. “Mudrooms” are a popular thing in the south- where you would take off hats, boots, whatever was dirty from the farm and leave/clean it. They may have had a large one because of the stables for riding clothes/boots/hats whatever. 2. It almost looks like someone actually turned that into an office or work area where you could run a small business or do business straight from your home. If they were in landscaping it could have been their home office instead of renting a space. ?? Just a guess. Lol. I love old places in the south (I live in VA- if you ever need a place to crash- there’s some great stuff in this area I can confirm that!) but especially the farm/stables part interested me!!!!! For sure….. 😮
Such a sad story when people had worked so hard to get this beautiful home and then loose it all when things get bad I really feel for them the house is absolutely georgus shame nobody had bought it to return it to its former glory very interesting video I have subscribed and I allways watch all the way through and coment on everything I watch and leave a like looking forward to watch more of your videos it may take a while to get through them but I will .
It is unbearable pain to lose everything when accident or illnesses occur. In a better world we would have a safety net for these people. And I agree that making people leave their home just to let it sit empty & fall apart is such a shame. And so unjust. This explore is so sad to me. Take care, BigBanks and stay safe always
I guess the bank got the property on the foreclosure and then sold it for a large sum to the developers. So, so sad for the family. All the Christmases, gatherings, birthdays and happy times in that home.
I'm just waiting and looking forward to the day that The Lord acts against the people who are involved with, and push the systems in this world that cause terrible tragedies like this!! Government, banks, politicians, and the other overlords of the modern world will be held accountable for their cold, greedy hearts!!!!
What state is this located in? It seems there are a lot of things in this house that could be salvaged instead of being torn down. It is a shame to destroy all of the cabinets and other built in items. It is a beautiful home. I always enjoy looking at your videos. Thank you for sharing your work.
Great video. This is a really nice house. It would probably be in pristine condition if squatters weren't there. It's sad that the family lost their home.
Thanks for sharing 👍👏👏 This is without a doubt a beautiful property, a place that everyone would love to own. The decay of this property where people once lived happy moments shows us that in this life nothing lasts forever except the earth and the sky. That's why we must live every second as if it were our last.
Another great find Big Bankz, hopefully this family was able to get themselves back on their feet. It's a shame they lost the home the builders would have paid a lot of money for their land and that could have probably saved them financially. Love from N.Y.
The original owners went through a nasty divorce; the husband had mortgaged the house to the hilt without the wife's knowledge and he defaulted on the 2 mortgages. They are both still alive. The property was then deeded over to the Harrison family, but the Harrisons never lived in the house. It was an investment for the Harrisons and they made a huge profit when they sold the land (and the house) to a developer. The home will soon be demolished.
The previous owners, Daniel and Johnel Harrison, according to the Oklahoma county assessor's website bought a 2 million dollar home in Nichols Hills in 2019, two years before this one was sold to Chisholm Creek. From my research, it appears the Harrisons were in oil and gas, not landscaping.
I think most all of these explorer's say whatever to get you reeled in to WATCH... they don't get it that we'll watch regardless, I hate it when they just make shi* up lol
Frank Harrison owned it. He had an oil and gas business but I can’t say the exact name online. He himself said he owned this placed for 20 some years. I don’t know the reason why he left a thing like this for so long. He’s not struggling in any way. He sold it to a business out of california :/
Great video. Sad to me though. You did a great job of explaining about the property . I live around the corner from this place and Chisholm Creek Partners, who bought this from Harrison Family Trust in May of 2021 to put businesses in there and paid 6.6 million for it .Thx again for the video. I always wanted to see on the inside. Would have cost a lot to update . Still a nice place and the location doesn’t bother me. There is a Costco almost across the street and a hospital half a block away and a Wall Mart a mile away. Was beautiful at one time. There are a lot of homeless people in the area.
Hi I’m new to your Adventure’s I am totally Amazed at the place’s you show,do you ever get the creeps walking around a abandoned house, not knowing what might be behind a door? When I watch you walking through a house my imagination just goes away with me at what it would it have been like for the poor people to just leave their home behind. Thank you for showing us the amazing place’s you explore. ( Some houses I really think could be fixed up,and still have potential to be made liveable again.)
That smaller kitchen type area might be called the "mud room", because it was a wash up or dry up area utility area,to strip off dirty work clothes, or keep from tracking in through the main part of home.
This is very sad. I hope they will rise above their loss. God bless them. I am going to say a prayer for them and hope that they will find their way once again. ( prayer) Father i ask that you keep your eyes on this family and help them to get back on their feet. Please guide them where ever they are. AMEN.
It’s amazing how the banks will allow these beautiful homes to deteriorate and fall apart as opposed to working with the family or a new family to keep it livable until sold😢 Small master bathroom and closets. Fireplace is huge, possibly heat the whole house. Joking. W the bank could have sold 6, 7 or more acres and lowered their mortgage. Just sad. Thank you for sharing 🥲
Admit I was too lazy to read all the comments, so apologies if this has been said. First, what a shame. I felt like the home was an older home with add-ons, because of the drawer pulls, the scalloped moldings on some of the built ins, and the blue and pink tubs, as well as the shiny Italian brick in the kitchen. Also in the main barn, that was a tack room with all the saddle racks and hooks and knobs for bridles. The other room would have been for feed, and kept closed and latched at all times, because horses don't stop eating when they are full, causing death and or serious illness. I'll bet it was all so beautiful not long ago.
Wonderful locations. Please slowwww down when you're panning the room so we can immerse ourselves in the experience. Thank you. Keep up the good work. Just subscribed today.
I would say dinning room living room and family room. And the area you said you want site what it was for most likely was their office to keep up with the horses. I'm assuming they had allot of them by the looks off it. Could have bread them. One guest house could have been for the ranch hands. 😁 In the barn were the tack and feed rooms. The things sticking outta the wall s were used to hold the horses bridals and saddles. Beautiful place. It's a shame it's going to be demolished.
I love watching your videos I like hearing about the history of the places as much as you can. Keep up the cool videos from Christchurch New Zealand 🇳🇿
In the stables, those racks are saddle racks and the horseshoe hooks are where you would hang your bridles and such. I would LOVE to have that stable!!
"You know it's abandoned when you see fans like this. All drooped down and sad and whatnot" Me: *turns to look at the sad unused droopy ceiling fan in my parents livingroom*
What qualifies a “mansion”. Not a small home by any means but also nowhere near “mansion” status. Property data shows this property valued at $760k and it is two separate lots. What they are calling a guest home is on a separate lot. There is a property not far from this one that I would definitely classify as a mansion, but it is also valued at around $1.8m with a 5000 sqft home on 18 acres. This is a typical upper middle class home here.
hey big banks thanks for this we bought a buisness in 1999 and it was a bridal shop i was so happy and i lived in this house for 33 years the downstairs was totally remodled but the upstairs wasnt but we had plans to do the upstairs but then when 2001 came all went down hill when 9/11 came the economy went down the drain and we filed for bankruptsy in 2002 we got a horrible letter saying we lost the house i was so devistated if i win the lottery im gonna buy my house back and ill keeep it forever i fell down the rabbot hole i was in a deeep depression i didnt want to live anymore but here i am i am good i suffer from depression and anxiety all my life i fought my demons and i broke free from this i still cry some times but stilll i became a stronger person this would of beeeen a great bed and breakast suite i am also into urban exploring and im a huge fan and love it
I find these very saddening. The amount of time and effort put into these places, just to lose them for what ever reason. And then to have them torn down. I realize many are too far gone, but why let them get to that point in the first place? Sad, just so very sad........
I would guess that the downstairs bedroom with the two walk-in closets would be the master. The dining area would be close to the kitchen. The room with the fireplace may have been partially used as a dining room. Interesting story and house.
Thank you for taking us with you, no lie I feel like I’m right there and what you smell I can literally smell(or imagine) great job great house too bad they are demolishing it
I can picture myself there back in the day when that place was well taken care of. I'd be lounging by the pool, sparkin' up a blunt, and sippin' down some Hennessy!
A room isn't classified as a bedroom if there is no clset in it. That one room upstairs may have been a playroom, sitting room or even a craft room. In stables those 2 things were for the saddles.
I love your channel Big Banks. I look forward to every single one of your videos! I just gotta put it out there! But it totally takes away from the experience when explorers start their videos in arbitrary rooms. Personally..I want to experience just what You see when you walk in. I want to experience the explorer the only way possible, as if they were there in person. in some respect, starting a explore in a bedroom for example, can be disorienting when doing larger homes. Im not complaining..just making a friendly suggestion.
Crazy that they demo a beautiful place like this. Some family would buy it/ renovate to make it their own. Unfortunately, big business has big money and big ideas. All I can say is arrrgh😡
It's sad all these abandoned houses and so many homeless. People have to leave their homes and the banks let the houses rot. Very sad. Maybe if the bank would have let them keep their home the bank would still get some money, taxes paid and the house would not be falling apart. Banks should push back a year of payments, put them at the end of the loan term. Give people time to heal from financial crashes, business loss or whatever emergency that arose. But nope, you're having hard times, the banker says, "get the fuck out of your home that you've put everything in. Fuck your credit, we'll let the house sit empty, decay and we still won't receive any money and you are homeless." Doesn't even seem humane. Once your late on a payment your credit drops so you cannot get a re-fi or another loan. So you get screwed. You pay all that and they take it... but truly who is they?
