You could use a fine mist spray bottle to make the painting less messy for students in a classroom setting. Students could use different colors of paint in their spray bottles with multiple stencils in an additive/layered process to create multi-colored designs. Also, students could use basic geometric shapes for their stencils to introduce the lesson and then progress to the more detailed subject matter.
