He called 170 lumens an SD level brightness for a flashlight. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Candella dictates blinding power (and throw), not lumens. And...even then, 170 lumens is nothing. You need a thousand at *least* (and honestly that's still too low).

1000 lumens is bright as hell, will temporarily blind you in a dark environment, so I'm not sure what flashlight you've experienced that had a "supposed" 1000 lumens. I have a variety of flashlights that range from 800 lumens up to 3200 lumens. No, you will not find these brands at Walmart. All of my flashlights use 18650 batteries, with 2 of them using 21700 style batteries.

Check out the 'nova knife' flashlight. It starts fires, has a very sharp 3.5 inch blade with a saw on the back of it. Oh and is a bright flashlight.

Mine too. But the law is trying to make it illegal to have one and especially illegal to use one to stop a crime.

Same here in Canada. It's kind of ridiculous. I was in Scouts Canada from a young age and was given a Swiss Army knife from a very young age and always carried a foldable pocket knife growing up. Then as an adult, I was arrested and charged simply for having a foldable knife with a clip on my jean's pocket and visible (not even concealed) and was charged with possession of a weapon. A permanent criminal record, a year of probation and a lifetime weapons ban when I wasn't doing anything wrong. Left work at midnight and walking to the bus stop, I was tackled and assaulted by 2 police officers. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, walking past a local pub where a fight and stabbing happened. When the arresting officer asked why I had a knife, I asked him why he has a knife, gun and bulletproof vest etc. I made the mistake of saying that it was for self defense, just in case. I should have said that I had one on me since I was a child in Cub Scouts that was given to me. I never used a weapon against any person in life, a few fist fights in my life and didn't even think of pulling the knife out ever but the arresting officer and judge seemed to think different. We should not be allowed to have something that both criminals and police have because it's a danger to society. What a joke. What I got from that, is as a law obiding citizen that pays taxes, I'm not allowed to have it or protect myself and should call the police if I'm being attacked. Cool story, I should call the police after the fact so that they can show up an hour later, after I've been attacked if I'm still alive. Protecting yourself or planning on doing so is apparently against the law here. I prefer Texas type of law. I think that's a better deterent, f*ck with me and get shot. People are less likely to rob, shoot or stab people if their victims might have something for protection. But what do I know? Just a tax payer that should not be allowed to protect himself or his family when everyone else has weapons. Kinda hard to call the cops when you are dead.

It doesn't make it a self-defense weapon. It only makes the weapon less likely to injure or kill an innocent bystander or anyone else. A bullet is lethal from a very long distance. I know of instances where someone fired into the air and killed someone a mile or more away. this is why I will not fire a warning shot because I don't know where that bullet will end up.

exactly. that was their intention from the beginning to make all their citizens into sheep and tied up for the wolves. Now it is happening here in the U.S. sadly. they are trying to outlaw being able to defend yourself and family from CRIMINALS. And to protect the criminals after they commit a crime. It is already one-sided in favor of the criminals and biased against their victims. Most of the time the victim is the one actually on trial.

That is normal for most of these posted video's few are even intelligent enough to know the truth.

What is tatp. I want some , how much does it cost, and how effective is it.

Because we have a 2nd amendment? Because the first battle of the American Revolution was fought to prevent the redcoats from confiscating gunpowder from Americans? Most of the rest of the world and, sadly, too many Americans don't understand that the right to defend yourself and family dates back millenia because there are evil people out there intent on doing harm to others for personal gain. Many of whom work in goverment positions of authority.

Americans use Firearms not these toys for self defense!
