Bantam Ripping Chisel 

The Bantam Ripping Chisel has multiple uses in upholstery. This video show using the Bantam in place of a staple remover when removing the staples in part of a finished cover where the upholsterer/worker needs to carefully remove the staples.
NOTE: Since making this video I have learned about the Oscillating Multi-tool, which is much less expensive than the Bantam. I first learned about it by watching a Facebook video showing it in use to remove upholstery. I have not yet made a video, but I highly recommend it for removing upholstery. A metal cutting blade is a must-have for it as the supplied wood cutting tools will dull quickly in cutting the staples.
