This bantureethi(Swans of Saraswati) is the song from when i got fond of Harish Sivaramakrishnan since 2014 When he performed on Kappa tv...How a carnatic song can be sung with more pleasing music....Huge fan of his sangathi transformations then & there..How can i forget Harish's extra ordinary singing of "Maamalaye nee varum thennal" 👌👌👍👍👍..Hats off..his talents from Agam Band ofcourse
Is this a way that carnatic music to get popular. If any song is sung in a movie, it gets popularized. If interested,,people should go to the sabhas and listen how the musicians are singing. You must hear live concerts. There are so many beautiful ragas we admire the beauty of it. I don't blame anyone for this. When this music is admired by so many of them, please go and listen live concerts.
"Bantureethi Koluvu" is a classical Carnatic music composition in the raga Hamsadhvani, set to Adi Talam, which is a 8-beat rhythmic cycle. The song is a famous krithi composed by the legendary Carnatic musician Sri Thyagaraja Swami. Here are the full lyrics of the song in the original Telugu language, along with an English translation: Telugu Lyrics: It is believed to have been composed by the 18th-century poet and composer Mysore Maharaja Jayachamaraja Wadiyar. The song is often performed as part of concerts, and it is also a popular choice for dance performances. Here are the full lyrics of the song: Bantureethi koluvaithivo Gopikamma chooduvaithivo Yenti batti chooduvaithivo Kanti muddulatho koothuro (Chorus) Narada muni veda vyasa Anubhajinchu vinaraa nannu brovavayya Neelakandhara vrutha soubhagyamuga Nalina jananiki thyaagamuga Kallalo dhorakanundi kousthubhamu Gollaleni dharudu mukthiyagaa (Chorus) Narada muni veda vyasa Anubhajinchu vinaraa nannu brovavayya The song describes Lord Krishna's playful antics with the gopis (cowherd girls) in Vrindavan. The lyrics convey the essence of the story and paint a vivid picture of the beautiful scenes in the playful love of Lord Krishna. The first verse of the song asks the gopis to come and witness the beauty of Lord Krishna's dance, where he moves his feet to the rhythm of the music. The second verse praises Lord Krishna's divine qualities, and how he gave up his wealth and his consort for the sake of his devotees. The chorus of the song asks Narada, Vyasa and others to listen to the song and protect the singer. Overall, "Bantureethi Koluvu" is a joyful and uplifting song that celebrates Lord Krishna's divine playfulness and his devotion to his devotees.
This is one of the carnatic gems.. Sad to see this is being rendered in such a way.. Fusion is not making fun of the legendary krithis.. Singer is just shouting and not singing...
I understand the sentiment, but there are enough concerts where the singer sings these gems and people just sit like statues. Here, people are enjoying. Just think of the dopamine levels in that room! We need such experiences too, once in a while. :)
@@madamballiyilemanorogi1395 It doesn't mean that one can give all new definition to the Carnatic core .. one can't dilute something n make it as baseline for all future generations
Dear Fusion folks..with due respect i suggest you all being very smart, quite talented to compose music independently. There is no need to use Thyagaraswamy original which has for a very long traditional background and culturally performed in certain way. But doing a hard rock tune is not good guys on any long traditional compositions....pls think about it and try to protect sentiments of other people and balance your presentation.
Their hearts are not finetuned to the depth of the inner music of such kritis. So, it's no use advising them. They rock and wish their audiences to roll, and make a mockery of those songs. Even the accompanying percussion inflicts violence on it with its insensitive beats! But such is the new world. God bless!🙏
That’s still okay at least by that way thy are chanting RAMA. It’s one of composition of great Tyagaraja it would be good if thy mention it and unsure if thy know the meaning of it thn we are fortunates
Saint Thyagaraja was a devotee of Sri Rama. Please Please don't sing in such places and on such stages wearing shoes . It's very painful to see. Give respect to Vageyakara one who composed it with such divinity .
ezhich podey over akathe.. its just a classical song...praising some ancient old king known as rama who is mythical figure.. dts all.. dont over rate it
Fully agree.Sanctity , divinity , & purity must be maintained. It's beyond compromise. Don't tamper with such great classical compositions. Keep a respectable distance . Appreciate ,admire & adore .Never try to alter or accommodate.
Please see Tyagayya movie directed by K Viswanathgaru and stop this jamboree exercise of yours.Kolu KADHU,KOLUV ASALE kadhu, KO-LU-VU. Yes it's a divine composition to be sung with utmost devotion with due respect. It is not a rock concert full throated nonsensical song. It is insulting the God and his Bhaktha. Stop this otherwise you will face real music sooner than later from the Lord as well as his bhaktas .
No need to take the shoes off. There is no bhakthi bhava and raaga bhava here. They are just enjoying the tune. They are using same lyrics, that's all. He can sing whatever in the same tune. The crowd will shout like this only.
@@raghushankarbhat yea fair enough. Though I would like that it could be incorporated with more bhakti bhava. Instead of just for singing. Tyagaraja is literally asking Rama to elevate him to the post of Hanuman as he is the one and only Bantu for Sri Rama for ever and ever.
Who is going to save our great saints songs from these circus jokers..They didn’t create these for money or fame..They refused even from kings and did these out of pure bkakthi
