You are so right! I've added an extension to stock mirrors from aliexpress as a first step, to have a better view. It fixed a bit of a situation that I do not see anymore arms, but now I've changed to handlebar mirrors and they are even better. The issue is that in some rev range it seems to be shaking a bit, and requires more space if you are squeezing between lanes, but overall handlebar mirrors seem better.
I have a Cb 1000r and just bought these mirrors but did not know whether they’re good or not and which way around to install them. Thanks for this video 😊
That could be an issue... Check for bar end mirrors that curve around over your hands, that may be a workable alternative, also concave mirror works nicely.
My main use for a mirror is to see what's coming up behind me at a stop light or stop sign, does that curved mirror cause you any concerns about distance when it comes to an escape path if a driver is about to rear end you?
Getting used to it is not an option when it comes to your safety, I bought this mirror and not only did it turn on it's pivot at 90 kmh making it unusable it's the most dangerous mirror I've ever had on a bike, the rear view is dark and cars are at such a far distance you can't guage how close they are to you, I returned it after one ride for a refund, I wouldn't use it on a bicycle!@@CyberCatTechnologies
Excellent video. I am currently looking at getting bar end mirrors and wanted to know about does it improve visibility or reduce it? And are bar end mirrors just for looks? I have a 701 Smartpiien that I want to put the mirrors on so I also wonder if improved visibility depends on the bike. Nonetheless, this experiment that you did does answer some of my questions. I can see my arm in my stock mirrors. Would you still see your arm in the stock mirrors if you adjusted the mirrors more outward and away from your body? Why did you select the brand that you selected? Thanks for doing this brilliant video!
I selected the band at the time with little knowledge. It just turns out it was fit for the role. Looks was the original intent, now it's functional too.. I tried different angles in the stock ones.. there really is only so much you can adjust.. while the both were on, it was so much clearer which one i prefer.. if the stock were to extend further out may be i would have been a bit more favourable towards it... my mirror chapter is well and truly settled.. personal opinion by the way.. completely my preference.. but i hope i was able to help..
@@CyberCatTechnologies Thanks for responding! I was asking the question to also help me think about if I made those adjustments whether or not it would help. This was a great video and thanks for responding. I hope to see more content like this.
@@p-dub7422 thanks man.. also forgot to mention. Vitpilen 401, i was so impressed by it, nearly bought it. Huskeys make some of the most beautiful bikes.. or i just love the look they have very much.. good luck..
