Definitely oyster bar! The different ways of preparing the oysters make you feel like you are a judge on the good old Iron Chef Japan enjoying an oyster themed meal prepared by Iron Chef Morimoto Masaharu!
Chie-san is my favorite tour companion for Shizuoka. It makes sense that she's a vaudeville actress. Such a refreshing change of pace for this channel. I loved when she crossed her eyes when eating the sashimi on the last episode. We're so used to seeing the kawaii in women so it's heartening to see the comedienne side of them, too.
I love all the different themes that Japanese bars and izakaya can have. And by being smaller places, there can be many in one area, so it makes it easier to bar hop and try different ones. Also, it seems like you sometimes get a more personal connection with the owners/staff at these small bars.
So fun and such a great continuation for tours! Shizuka makes these so fun and welcoming. Japan By Food is probably one of the most important channels I'm subscribed to. A+++++
I recently just tried oysters for the first time in my 27 years! I'm from Maine, so the seafood here is pretty awesome. There is a place called Izakaya Minato that served it with broiled with ponzu sauce and a miso custard! It was a mouthful, but a delicious mouthful. All of the ones you guys got to try looked especially enticing 🤤
Outstanding Bar Hopping With Yummy Food From Start To Finish. 1 Question. Did You Finish The Sake Bottle From The 1ST Place?? Must Try The Pizza Place With The Pully. I Wish You A Merry Christmas
