Who couldn't love Barbara Eden? She's such a lovely, gorgeous and overwhelmingly positive person! She never has anything bad to say about anyone. Just love her!
I got in love with I dream of Jeannie! I remember watching the reruns back in the 80s with my mom sometimes and man, that was fun! But after watching a Barbara Eden interview...you just get in love all over again. She's amazing!❤
Great interview! Barbara Eden is the most beautiful woman in the world. Her poise and grace in this interview is outstanding! I still watch I Dream of Jeannie to this day!
"As you wish master!" Everytime we want to reconnect with our "Major" exotic and deeper than first thought, unstoppable actress/performer. Stay safe everyone!
I'm curious as to when this interview was done with Miss Eden. Has she found the fountain of youth or what? She's still looking great in 2016 at the age of 85!!!
It was shot one year ago i believe . I actually met her at the Salt Lake City Comic Con and she looks even younger in person , she doesn´t look 85 and is still mindsharp .Barbara was born to be gorgeous :)
My favourite episodes I recall when Jeannie transferred her powers to her master & havoc occurred. The Stephens house was used in this episode when Dr.Bellows had the power & wanted the house painted yellow not green so the colour would switch back & forth, oh... we have all seen it. Another one where she got locked accidentally in the safe & almost got blast into space. This episode ran for 4 episodes but she finally got released. Too many to mention really but Barbara was a pure delight.
Barbara Eden is just amazing. Classy and beautiful as ever. For the interviewer, Nellis AFB is outside Las Vegas. Andrews is outside DC. Edwards is in CA but closer than Andrews.
At 18:46 I love how both of Barbara's eyes look up like to Larry Hagman in Heaven in anger because Jeannie was in love with Major Nelson and it gets her upset.
17:30." Master, you didn't tell me we used Samantha's house in an episode!!! OOOOHHH!" Blinking Tony into a fiery dungeon. "JEANNIE! JEANNIE!" Great show
Can U tell me why the bottles were changed from the gold leaf in the 1st season to the 2nd. I never understood that, it was silly really. I also have a purple bottle too. Waited for one for 50 years.
I had the pleasure of meeting her because she actually sent for me when she was doing Night Club Confidential in Long Beach, Ca. in the mid 90's. She heard a song I wrote called, ironically enough, " The Jeannie Song" and she really liked it. Years later, I made a video for that song and she loved that. Watch this video until the very end... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k1W9fGc_yoE.html
How can Barbara Eden look so good at her age and be so gracious and cute. Amazing. I MUST disagree with you Ms Eden about Jeannie marrying...it was every schoolboy's dream to marry Jeannie and so it goes! :D
The only part that remains unclear to me is that everybody said that Elizabeth was mad at Barbara for I Dream of Jeannie, and that she had called the series a rip off of Bewitched.
Yes, I have heard this that she was saying it was a rip off of Bewitched & if u watch both shows some of the episodes/scenarios are similar. The shows were also filmed on the same lot, the Columbian lot. But U had a genie & a witch. Regardless of the similarities I thought both shows were great in different ways. IDOJ is number one tho for me with Bewitched No. 2. Barbara was the best wasn't she!!
I don't understand why Barbara Eden wasn't allowed to show her belly button in the mid/late 1960s, but Nichelle Nichols, as Uhura, was able the show off hers in the Star Trek episode, "Mirror, Mirror" in the 1967-68 season. In addition, another actress on Star Trek wore a costume that showed off her belly button a year later in "The Cloud Minders." Both shows were on NBC.
Ms Eden....It was fine to have Jeannie marry Major Nelson it's what we wanted to see as a viewing public eventually and it was still funny. It's ALWAYS about how good the writing is and the tolerance and tastes of public
I was happy with them getting married, but I guess viewers back then felt like it was an ending. Confusing about her opinion on why it was ok for Samantha to get married to a mortal but not a genie. She wasn't technically human, but she functioned physically as a human and as far as marrying, she'd just create an identity for legal purposes. Much like Samantha would have presumably done since she was very old
She is the most elegant and the nicest actress I have ever seen. I dream of Jeannie is still my favorite TV series. I was born in 1965, in the same year of the series debut. On our 50th birthday, I had a theme party and the cake was in the shape of the bottle. All the decoration was related to the series. Everybody loved it. I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
