@@gustavobravorosales1434 Doris Day era preciosa más que ella a mi parecer y tenía su propio programa de televisión y muchas más q eran más guapas no soy exigente, soy realista
Barbara started out as a singer and her mother encouraged her to go into acting as she could see that while Barbara had a good voice she wasn’t “a singer.” I think in this clip you can see that Barbara does really well but I think she was a far better comedienne. She was excellent in comedic roles because her personality was so fun, and cute and adorable. She just exuded playfulness and girlishness. I loved it when she sang as Jeannie’s evil sister in I Dream of Jeannie in the nightclub episode. She was so hip! Clearly, the much older Dean Martin was infatuated with her! Many of the leading men of the day - including Elvis - all chased her. I remember as a kid everyone just thought Barbara was the epitome of beauty. What was incredible by today’s standards is that she was a natural beauty. Compare the starlets, influencers and actresses of today and see how fake they all are: with botoxed faces and plumped up lips. Barbara was naturally pretty and talented. Even in her 90s she has maintained that girlish charm and liveliness.
@@lapislazuli7876 You have got it right. Anne Margaret is the same. Barbara can hold a tune, but she is not a naturally gifted singer by any stretch of the imagination. Barbara Eden is able to reproduce that deeper rich sounding actress voice she has. Both Anne Margaret and Barbara Eden were good at singing songs where their voice was managed to disguise its faults and limits. They are both not a Doris Day, Debbie Reynolds, Judy Garland or Barbara Streisand. They definitely don't have the range and quality of people like Maria Carey, Dion Warwick, Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. Still Barbara Eden will always be Jeannie with the effervescent personality that makes everybody feel happier.
Barbara eden looks really gorgeous looking last year of i dream of jeanne, last dream jeanne year they still had lots of great episodes, but the show had to grow like baby stuff like bewitch
+Nancysinatrafan Dino was such a class act! All charm, and style to the nines. Notice how he sung just enough below Eden's voice so that hers would shine through. Love this guy forever. They simply don't make em like this cat anymore... and digga digga doo that's true!
Que hermosa era Bárbara Edén..de niño no me perdía los capítulos de mi Balla Genio.y soñaba encontrarme una botella en la playa y a Jenny cómo genio...😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
@@jesusjosequintanagomez9366yes even in her 90s now she is still adorable. Still the same really. She’s still girlish and cute like Jeannie. I’ve seen interviews with her and it’s amazing how she talks and acts the same. I just love her. She is just a rare thing in this world which is a genuine and good person.
🌹💖🌹God give you to your parents, what a beautiful baby you was, and became a wonderful lady, we love you all. I watch all your shows and love them all. What a sweet person she is. 🌹🌹🌹💖💖🌹🌹🌹
Dean 'n' Jeannie... And it wasn't Jeanne Martin! ;) Great performance! I truly enjoy it. Barbara seemed so shy with Dino's compliment in the end, that makes her much more adorable!
@@jamesogrady6612yes she seemed younger didn’t she? Barbara is the type of person that retained her child like and girlish qualities all her life. Even in her 90s while she’s ages obviously, she still looks great, she doesn’t have dementia like many people of her age and she still does interviews. She’s always been very real and very down to earth. Like Elizabeth Montgomery as well. They were wonderful, feminine yet fierce women. This type of woman no longer exists.
I wonder what the date of this show was. We always watched, but I don't remember this. I had no idea what a voice Barbara Eden had when not doing her Jeannie role. Just wonderful interpretation and interplay with Dino, who always promoted the best talents of his guests.
I’m watching kiss me stupid on the tv and dean looks so adorable, I was surprised to see a movieof him I never saw. So baby I havnt. Hoping more if his movies come on t v , I’ve hardjey seen then. Just his tv show,
Dean Martin was a fantastic performer. He sang along 'with her' and they both had a great time. I have always liked Jeannie.... we only assume Barbara Eden is like Jeannie in real life.
Dean Martin (Steubenville, Ohio, 7 de junio de 1917-Beverly Hills, California, 25 de diciembre de 1995) fue un cómico, actor y cantante estadounidense. 78 AÑOS.
@@michaelarbassio2911yes I read that he was in love with Barbara and he chased her. So did Elvis. He was much older than her, though. But Barbara was married during this time (her husband played the blue djinn on I dream of Jeannie and was a character actor) and she had a son named Matthew.
