Great video pal river looked spot on Try putting a small shot or float stop up the line might help with the weed on the line

Hi Paul, are you aware of the 1 rod only rule on all Passport beats? We have the same on our fisheries. Wonder if that’s why the fishing was a little quiet for you...😉

Exactly my thoughts,never felt the need to fish two rods on the Wye even on non W&U beats

Thanks for the comments. This beat introduced a two rod rule in 2019, I think as an experiment. Paperwork provided with booking confirmed it. I rarely use two rods but on a tough day like this, and where the rules apply, I am happy to use two.

I recommend that you check out www.fishingpassport.co.uk as they control fishing on many areas of The Wye, all of which produce Barbel and Chub.
