Ouch!! I feel your pain though buddy my first session of the year on the Evesham stretch of Avon went exactly the same way with nothing but bloody Bream. Tight lines though mate and can't wait for your next session hopefully you get another session like the 1 before this 🤜

It is possible to catch barbel during warm, sunny afternoons. I had my PB barbel from the River Wharfe in Yorkshire at 3pm on a really hot summer day. However, you need a big slice of luck.

in the summertime i mostly fish the deep water with my jon boat.. livescoping with softbaits/lures.. not enough time to also squeeze in a lot of bank sessions.. nice vid though!
