My top 3 clippers are 1.Wahl 5 star seniors- I love how he cut the hair and blends. It's also super easy to adjust 2.Wahl Magic Clips-I recently got the clipper and I absolutely love it. The freedom the clipper gives me since its colorless and I can take it anywhere. 3.Andis Masters- Its where I got my start into barbering on a professional level. They are always a clipper to have on your arsenal and you can never go wrong with having them. Top 3 Trimmers 1.Andis T outliner- it's one the most efficient and reliable trimmers ive ran across in my barbering career 2. Andis slim line pro- super easy to adjust and cordless. Great for getting into tight places on someone's head with the smaller blade. 3. Wahl Detailer- great shaped trimmer and gets the job done.

Just wanted to say thanks for you channel!! Currently in school and have 500 hours. Your cuts have taught me a lot!! Every day I watch at least one video. Trying to improve myself every day Top 3 Oster octane - fast bulk removal with blades, no heat, great feel. All around great clipper Oster fast feeds with Andis coarse Ceramic cutting blade. Cuts like butter with the new blade, great weight, feel and heat displacement Wahl seniors/magic clips. I know there different machines but in my eyes all in all same machine without the cord. Great for detail work on skin fades, heat and a amazing feel.

I visit your channel, so that I can get the basics down. Not even to become a barber or to cut my own hair, but to give my 5 year old son a haircut. He's very impatient and moves too much, and a lot of barbers don't like to deal with kids like this. Plus; here in NYC, the wait times are horrible and waiting with impatient kid is not fun. So I appreciate your videos... Much props to you.

This is an older video, forgive me for seeing you late, but I have a ton of respect for you and what you said during this video. I feel the same way in the photography scene. Those people are bad for the industry. It turns people off and you come off like snobs with the “sold not to be told” attitude. favorite clippers for myself in no order will be andis masters-made like a pair of dr martens last forever. the sound the make when cutting also the notches wit the lever. wahl seniors- powerful . the cuts seem to come out real crispy. like you said cheaper than masters, but i need to get my hands on the new 1and half 3/16 clip. Oster fast feeds only used twice but loved the moter and also the way it cuts almost slower than the masters and seniors. which felt i could really make the blend as good as i am capable as because we all know nobody is perfect. All barbers should come together not through out digs at other barbers cuts because we will never know everything about cutting and we will alwayz be able to learn something from each other no matter how big or small it may be. tomb 45 big ups to ya . Thanks for keeping it real and positive, thats a role model for young and old. god bless.

I came here from looking up top barbers to watch on RU-vid as a barber wanting to learn any new tricks or tips. I think guys like you and Jeezy and Matt Giftedhands, along with a couple of British barbers like Kieron the Barber and Harry Pirate are doing a great job of helping the trade learn the finer points and secrets of getting perfect hair cuts. I'd be very surprised if the majority of your viewers weren't actual barbers. Can't see how these type of videos would help non barbers, very informative yes, but surely only true hairdressers and barbers are going to truly benefit from this. I know I have. Ignore the haters, trust me, this type of content is invaluable!! 👌

What you said from 8.32 - 9.52, I’m one of the 90% home barbers looking at how to cut hair properly so I can cut my sons hair. Cos truth is... barber shops over here in Australia have gone too expensive! I use to pay $20 for a haircut only last year. And now it’s $45. More than doubled in less than 12 months! I even rang another barbershop to get a price and they quoted me $75!! Are you kidding me!?!? GOH with that BS! So thanks for teaching me a thing or two about how to fade correctly and do line ups. You have a new subscriber in me :)

You should be proud of this channel, it's one of the best for quality content out there. I've used all clippers. Used fast feeds for a long time but have been stuck on the wahl cordless magic clips for a while now. I don't know if I can go back to a cord. I wish more companies would get a little more innovative and look to what our industry wants. Wahl is leading the way right now, but if fast feeds or masters had a good cordless option, game. Over

top 3 are wahl 5 star seniors, masters, and fast feeds. reason being I like the smooth cuts the seniors produce, fast feeds I love the way they cut through bulk and don't heat up as fast as master when you add the ceramic blade, and the masters are good for cleaning up the fade with the long teeth of the blade. then trimmers.. I got to have my andis t outliners, but lately I've fell in love with the cordless andis pro li. adjust them just right and they are monsters

im still in school with 6 months left and I am currently using the wahl sterling nuggets and I think they are awesome. They are smaller than your normal clippers and I feel they are easier to work with. They cut through super thick hair with ease and I adjusted the blades to almost a zero gap. I have been doing some really nice fades with them. Im gonna give the oster eon a shiot before long

Thank you Chris Bossio for keepin it real. I have faded with Masters for so long I don't know how to fade with Wahl. But this really helped. Also I'm glad someone finally said it "I don't want no fake lineup from ash". Im so tired of IG barbers making fake beards out of skin ash/dryness. I went to Rosstens barber school back in 2007 and got my apprentice license for 20 bucks, worked in the shop at the same time and graduated in 2008 with a master's license. Its crazy how much more expensive it is now 10 years later for barbers to get licenced up. In a way i get because so many people want to be barbers nowadays which equals more money for the state but dang 18Gs for barber school is crazy. 3 favorite clippers are Fast Feeds, Andis Masters w fade blade and the classic Oster 76s.

+chris bossio My Top 3 Clippers: 1. Magic clip Cordless - because it gives great fades and is Cordless but light. 2. Andis Envy Cordless - because it's light and is great for taking down bulk. 3. Oster 76 - it's a very powerful clipper and when you use the modified OA blade on High tops and Afros the cut comes out very crispy.
@ojstoical4044

Dope as usual! The three I prefer are Wahl Regular Seniors because of its power and can't be zero gapped; The Corded Wahl 5tar Magic Clip with Surgical Blade and can be zero gapped for improving fading and transition and free handing; they are essentially the same as the Wahl 5 Star Seniors- same blade and motor are used. However, the 5 Star Senior has a better housing mechanism, just like the Andis Master Housing Mechanism; the Andis Master because of the marked levering system and because it has a longer comb for fading and adding to the overall transition.

You dropped a lot of food knowledge bro. I like the attention to detail. Top 3 in order for me personally: 1: Oster Fast Feeds- lightweight, quiet, easy to zero gap. And they are perfect for fading. 2. Andis Master- Solid heavy duty construction. Powerful motor, perfect for knocking down bulk. 3. Wahl Designers- the body is shaped nicely for a grip. Good for fading. They go Beast mode with the red speed o guide guards.

top 3 fav clippers: Oster fast feed : light weight, smooth blend, low heat, and good torque. Andis master(limited edition white masters) : cuts quick, produces smooth fades, torque level: good, but not great, warmth level: not bad even for 30 min haircut!!. Andis powerfade w/ adjustable lever (discontinued): light weight, rarely gets warm, produces precise fades, rotary motor so its pretty torquey pretty nice contour design and shape, and produces nice good fade. and oh boy if andis releases an upgraded version of the select cut or the powerfade (these two are the exact same except: 1 is for tapering and 1 is for fading) then i would buy it in an instant. Rotary adjustable clipper, light weight, hardly warms up...you just cant go wrong! Btw ive never tried any of the wahl clippers, but i should try them one day!

I use mostly wahl clippers because my barber school gave us super tapers to start with and I fell in love with the feeling of wahl clippers. That being said my top 3 are wahl seniors, wahl sterling 4 cordless, and the sterling 4 corded 💈💈

Top 3 clippers are 1. Fast feeds I think the motor speed helps me all around with the blends 2. Magic clips I love the convenience of not having a cord, They're light and they fade well 3. The Seniors, they mow through hair any texture length or whatever very strong motor and the fade blade isn't like the masters fade blade so it helps me out with the 0 line

Classic 76. It's a challenge to fade with, but I mainly use it to shorten the hair. Also its quality and lasting makes it a worth investment.

Angelo Cabral I use my 76ers for bulk... I usually bald out with it and I see a lot of barbers on RU-vid bald out with t outliners. 76ers are convenient with the detachables and they cut more faster with efficiency. It's better to bald with these, unless you have a wahl balding clipper. 76ers = power/bulk trimmers = detail I usually bald with 000 or 00000, go up with a 1/6, and then a 1/4 and fade the rest with my masters. Your right about fading with them, it can be difficult. Barber luv fam!

I hear your rant man. I'm not a barber, and I'm bald. I only like watching people getting fresh fades. Don't know why. I will say that watching your videos, I learned about Tomb 45 gel, and ordered some to straight razor my face. So forget all the hating barbers. If only they were as creative as you Chris.

I live in the UK so unfortunately I cant get a pair of fast feeds or masters without having a frequency converter so I guess my top 3 would have to be: 1. Wahl Magic Clips: Smooth Blend 2. Babyliss Pro Super Motor: 5 position taper lever like the masters. Big and a little heavy but looks aesthetically pleasing. Can also take Wahl and andis double magnetic guards and has a powerful motor. 3. Have no idea. Wish i could say an Andis clipper or Oster but UK scene very Wahl dominated. Wanna say nuff respect to you Bossio. Admire what you doing for aspiring barbers like myself out there. Helped me loads mate. Keep up the grind !!! Stay Bless Emz

06:37 this is a valuable nugget you just taught me. I was wondering why some barbers go straight to the 1/2 guard open instead of closing the #1. I haven’t heard anybody else say this. Thanks

My favorite clippers is the Wahl 5 stars senior because it's really easy to zero gap the blades, and it's not as heavy as the Andis improved masters.

Thank you for the great tutorial. I’ve been struggling with the fade, trying all techniques The oster76 fade was going well for a minute n I lost it. I’ve taken barber classes, gone to barber shown and watch tutorials all the time. All I watched during our 2month shut down. Once we opened the shop, I couldn’t wait to try the fade and my first cut was a fade! I pulled it off without any help or giving up being discouraged . I’m still practicing n a little more confident

my top 3 are, wahl seniors, oster fast feed, and andis masters. wahls for durability, osters cuz the blade opens to a 1 and closes to a 000, and the andis cuz of the lever notches, starting out those notches are so helpful in learning to blend properly.

Top 3 clippers for me are: Magic Clips: Fade blade + strong motor + good price. Fast Feeds w/Ceramic blade: Smooth, quiet, and they stay cool. Masters: fades always come out smooth with them, but they get hot and they're heavy lol.
