I personally am not a fan of Color Reveal, and I was one of the people who hoped omg or rainbow high should have one DOTY, but I can also definitely see the appeal of them for like younger kids. While my 16 year old self is not a fan of these, I am not the target audience I am sure, and I know some of my younger cousins would most likely enjoy these even though I don't. I don't like color reveal personally but I could see the appeal for younger kids.
I agree with you, but I also think toy companies don't give kids enough credit. When i was a kid, I wanted to play with my dolls that had articulation and soft hair and detailed clothes that had real details and stuff like mine did. I'd be so disappointed in these, they're basically a glorified mcdonalds toy.
wish the new color reveal dolls had black shoes, i think it would give more contrast than the colored shoes on colored tights, but otherwise love them!
Honestly, you should stop apologizing for the shakiness of your hands, in my opinion, it makes it more satisfying and cool to watch (Idk if I sounded rude, but that's the opposite I'm aiming for)
I actually don't hate the fact this series is going mostly monochromatic with the color schemes. From an art perspective I really dig it. I don't care for the ponytail gimmick though. I'd prefer the solely molded on pixie cut from the wigged dolls. I like the Color Reveal line for what it is ( a play line doll you can take in the water). I don't think it deserved Doll of the Year though, but then again I can sort of understand why it might have been chosen. LOL and Rainbow High are both fashion dolls, which we have seen since the inception of Barbie. Color Reveal takes a well-known doll brand and adds the color reveal surprise aspect. This still doesn't mean it should have won though. Love watching you do these videos. It was your videos that helped me discover Color Reveal and led to me getting the one I have ^-^. Thank you for being awesome and hope you have a great day. Sorry about the length of the comment.
honestly, i was never super into these color reveal dolls. I was a 90's barbie girl and just felt that these new line of dolls came off as a cheap gimmick. But after you explained how they're great durable play dolls, I've totally changed my mind about these! I was always an inside play kid with my dolls, but I always wanted dolls I could play with in the bath. I can totally see these being great for kiddos who are rough players!
This video is so relaxing, satisfying and fun to watch it. It's look so cool and beautiful of the colors in the water. I love it so much. I enjoyed your video so much. You look good and beautiful. Love and greetings from México. Lots of hearts for Melissa. Love u and stay safe. 💖
I love your videos because the genuine excitement and appreciation you express towards dolls you review rubs off on me and gets ME feeling excited and happy! It’s truly wonderful, it is so clear that you love what you do! I was very skeptical of the color reveal line but I have become a fan through your various reviews... so so so so relaxing!
I would have loved that tube when I was a kid. I used to play cryogenics with my Barbies. I stuck them in plastic containers of water and put them in the freezer.
These a cool colour reveal Barbies, the metallic definitely makes a better effect. Love the red and black doll she looks awesome and matches your nails, your nail look amazing. 😍♥️
Please review the blue car from LOL OMG too 😊 (the one with black light headlights) They're going to be released in my area soon & I'm not sure I should get one. Thank you so much 💕
I love the water effect of the metallic color reveal Barbie, yet prefer the doll itself, when it comes to the two tone version. Did that make sense? Think I need a coffee or two. 🤣
Had to pause cause this made me laugh when you said here we go you ready when you went to put the metallic doll in an ad came on and said the same thing in a mans voice and i was like wtf 😂😂
I actually like Shimmer series & Color Block Series I don't mind the molded hair with snap in ponytail but rooted hair would make me more happy but I like this better than the wigs tbh I wish the mermaid ones could sit so I could photograph them easier. I also like these ones get earrings.
I'd like of the heads were swappable to a barbie body like a fashionista. I love the pixy cuts and the ponytail, but would really enjoy the barbie fashionista body type so the arms and legs can move to the side a bit.
Now you know why the Monster High dolls were redesigned. They were not safe with how easy their hands fell off. Their body is better for a collector doll rather than a play toy.
I don’t know if anyone else has noticed that your black shirt and sweater combo, your red lipstick, copper eyeshadow, clear frame glasses with black arms all come together with the first doll for one big syncronicity video of colour!
I have the Chelsea that matches your redheaded Barbie and she is so cute. They are called the pattern series I believe and the little ones have a boy this time. I have been collecting the Chelsea's mostly because they're cheaper but I love the color reveal they are just awesome.
So much more satisfying than watching peeling off fake skin I love the purple showing through the milky white its like two color reveals and a sensory bottle. Like when you mix baby oil in colored water and stir it
Just what I needed after a terrible day at work. I hope your nephew finds a furbaby soon. Heartbreaking to lose one. FYI, my diner in ACNH is red and black. I FINALLY got all the red diner tables and chairs. 😁
Omg I'm so used to articulated dolls that it kinda makes me anxious to look at dolls with no articulation now, it makes me so uncomfortable how rigid their limbs are 😶
I found these kinds of figures interesting, but to be honest, I think it's waste of water, I think they should think of another way that will keep the surprise of which doll you received.
So I am a biology minor and I have just taken a environmental management course in which we learned a lot about toxins in everyday products and how those toxins are regulated in the United States. Unfortunately, a lot of toxic stuff is simply not well regulated and there is quite a bit of evidence that looks like chemicals that are in food and plastics can leach into our bodies and cause issues such as cancers and infertility. We had to learn about how many bath toys have been linked with infertility. You do not want to put any plastic or other objects in a bath with your child. You also don’t want to let the child put these things in their mouths (I know that is hard because kids want to put everything in their mouths). Soft plastic like rubber duckies is particularly bad but I am unsure about hard plastics. I still would never put plastic bath toys in a bath even if it is hard plastic. Do your own research. If I find the article that we had to read I can share it. I believe it had “rubber ducky” in the title. Back to taking my finals!
I have a idea maybe try reviewing chillax shes s very good and I'm sure u will adore her edit wait the doll 1 has the same fabric as dollie omg doll and I love they way you say woooter
The least thing Mattel could do is to make those color reveal waste water be shampoo or body wash since it’s already in a tube or like the doll itself be a bath bomb you can play with in the tub- something useful rather than hoarding stagnant water. Well that’s just my idea, cause no matter how much I watch all these color reveal unboxing, I am still not onboard, I don’t think they’re worth it? Bottom line, the dolls are unappealing and cheat looking, Mattel could add a useful feature.😣😣😣
I keep waiting for them to get marked down enough for me to justify buying them. I love my articulation! But I also like that pixie cut the originals had.
I think the reason they don't do that with the non mermaid dolls is that hardened paint can damage the rooted hair on the dolls. There is also the fact the heads are hard plastic instead of soft plastic. The mermaids were designed so the head does not need to be submerged, so they could actually do the rooted hair.
