Be careful when traveling in Barcelona. My wife had her cell phone stolen while entering the Parallel metro station. The gate suddenly refuse to open with the metro card then someone bumped into her and reach into her coat pocket to take the device. If something unexpected happens you can bet someone is looking to distract you to steal your stuff.
Please be careful out there! Barcelona is an amazingly beautiful and culturally diverse place to visit. I just got back tonight from Barcelona and someone tried to pick my pocket on our second night there, while we we waiting outside of a restaurant. Luckily, I saw him, reacted fast enough, and was able to snatch my phone back out of his hand (after shouting a few choice F bombs)! Be aware of your surroundings at all times. Do not let anyone stand too close to you. Make sure you have a small sling pack you can keep in front of you and wear it under your coat (zip up your coat, especially while in the subway), and make sure you secure your phone and wallet inside a zipped pocket (within your coat). Almost everyone speaks English there so it was easy to communicate and navigate the city. The metro was the best ( most cost effective) and fastest way to get around the main parts of the city, and fairly easy to navigate.
Me and my partner just came back from Barcelona not long ago and we never (never say never) experienced being robbed or things stolen thank God. However we never kept our phones out etc and was very wary and carried a cross over bag at all times. It is very nice though we enjoyed it there and will go back. We didn’t plan anything either we went with the flow when we got there and had a good time.
Hey Patrick I am going to Madrid for 3 days and Barcelona, for four days at the end of March looking forward to your next video and looking forward to hiring you for a couple of walking tours
I'm coming back in February for Granada game. I was supposed to be coming this month but had to change plans. Normally when I go Barcelona in the month of February the weather doesn't seem to bad.
Awesome video as usual! My family will be coming over in March, I'm looking forward to that video. If you have any tips for a family on a budget, I'd love to hear them.
That video will be out early February! If you’re on a budget check out the transport video for some good options. Food is relatively cheap, and know when you can go to places for free
@PatrickGuideBarcelona it did, it's my friends first time traveling out of the country and my first time in Barcelona lol. I went to Madrid for the first time back in July
Thanks as always for the content Patrick. Will be visiting in February. Any way that we can get in touch with you and your company for museum tours or just tours around the city?
If i want to visit Park Güell at 11 am, then stroll through Gracia and Watch Casa vicens and Casa Batllo, which time should I choose to see Sagrada Familia afterwards? Is 4 :30 pm fine or too late for short days in February?
