i came to say that you did an excellent job on explaining how to set it up, i will be setting it up tomorrow and all thanks to you it will be a piece of cake,
To add a phone, you need to connect to the WIFI broadcast by the Clickshare base station. so you will not have to connect the Clickshare to the business WIFI unless that's what you want. Great video!
Download the most recent firmware abs put it on the USB drive. Bring that with you on the install date. You may have to re sync the singles after the FW update.
How would somebody hack it unless they are in the room? It's airgapped, and even if you connect it to your network it should be behind your firewall. Pls elaborate.
Popat Bhange what do you mean video call? Are you referring to something like Skype video calling with the Barco. Video will play OK in the room with you but the far end will see choppy video. When I say video, I mean if you play a video from your computer. Not video from your web cam. Web cam video will be fine.
I apologize for taking so long to respond. I'm just seeing this comment. You would connect it to a projector the same way as to a monitor. you need an HDMI cable that will go from your base station to an HDMI input on your projector. I hope this helps.
Mustafa Jarrar what do you mean by using this with WiFi? Are you referring to sharing a mobile device to your screen or sharing a laptop with the USB dongle? The base station itself sends out a WiFi signal that once the USB dongle is synced with the base station. That dongle will connect to the WiFi and you can share your content. If you are referring to sharing from your mobile device. I can not get it to work with this barco model. It works with other models that I have installed. But those sit on the network. The setup in this video with this model barco, it does not sit on the network so I can not connect to it with my cell phone. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for watching and please don’t forget to subscribe.
Popat Bhange you have to go into the admin settings of the barco and set your audio up. Video plays pretty well. But a solid HDMI connection is always better when playing a video. No latency issues and 1080 video.
and after you do all that you have no audio on your tv or, it wont share the video, then apparently, you need to plug the dongle to the front usb in the unit but then, you still have no audio.
nothing if you use the dongle that came with the unit it will already be synced with the base station. If not, you are correct. You can sync them by plugging them into the USB port on the base station. Just follow the on screen instructions. As far as audio, I’m not 100% sure. I have installed this in many conference rooms over the last 12 months. I have not heard a complaint about the audio. I will check after the holiday when I’m back at work and let you know.
thanks for the reply. i've been reading and apparently i will need to access the base unit configuration and set it to hdmi in the audio option. will try that when i have time. thanks
@@ahmedmohammed418 Have you tried updating the firmware on the base station? download it from the barco website and save it to a USB drive. then insert the USB drive into the base station. after that is complete you will need to re-sync the dongles.
