Likewise I found them fascinating. Nowadays seeing footage of them just makes me smile because they take me back to the 60's and early 70's when everything was so much simpler. Technology is good but it was great to live life without any. The main difference us kids played out in the street not stuck infront of screens.
I was born in 2002 and I was not Living life in front of a screen always outside nothing better than being outside and helping your dad out doing things and learning .. but that’s how I feel about current people my age they’re all so lost and kids as well social media has just destroyed society .. things were better before smart phones
Helps a structure on it to last longer, the denser packing of soil allowes it to carry more weight and slows the rate at which moisture can seep through. Its a similar effect like you can observer with a footpath where the constant trampling by peoples shoes has compacted the ground somewhat, during rain the path is muddy but you dont sink in at all or just a tiny bit, step a few feet aside and your feet sink in to a larger degree.
