I humbly request Hadestown (the OBCR, to be clear), to keep the Greek train(ha!) going. It's a retelling of the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice but set in the Great Depression! Its really fun, jazzy, and beautiful. I think it goes well with your bard theme too.There arent many animatics, but the whole play's sung-through so events are pretty clearly represented in the lyrics and instrumentation, imo.

for the longest time i thought the mystery songs are going to feature the sirens, because that's where the sirens were placed chronologically in the odyssey. but after jay said these events are not gonna be from the source material, i am honestly out of ideas (still kinda hoping for the sirens tbh, the sirens are just too iconic. my copy of the odyssey literally has them on the cover)

Great Video! The I'm Not Sorry For Loving You song you enjoyed in the beginning is a Calypso song, so excited for it's release! Lampyrcy has a great animatic for it(iffy audio though) Your litteral jaw dropping and silence at the Kingdom Hearts reference,😂 fun to watch you geek out.

I don't know if you would like to hear so many snippets, BUT it would be awesome if you reacted to all Jay's youtube and tiktoks content from all these years showing the process of Epic, I mean, there are probably a couple of hours of content there

You can really hear the danger motif clearly at the start of the song Polyphemus. It can be heard when Odysseus is speaking, its being played on a violin in the background.

EPIC is the first musical I've actually liked. My whole family loves musicals, and I could never get into any of them except Phantom of the Opera, but even then, I only really like 1-2 songs. EPIC feels like the musical I've been waiting for. I love mythology and folklore, it inspires my art, and I love music that makes my hair stand on end(xenoblade, octopath traveler, SMT OST), and Jay really nails that for me. I'm glad your apart of the Fandom I've had fun watching all your EPIC reactions keep up the amazing work

The first thing I learned when composing music is the circle of fifths. So when I write music, the chord structure comes first for me too! Though I usually making paths and trails through the circle of fifths.

Stray Gods might be an interesting video game to look into? It's sort of a choose-your-own-story-musical and I think you would appreciate the sheer amount of work that has gone into making so many different variations of or even just completely different emotional/story songs. I really enjoy the game itself, but thinking about the behind the scenes work just makes me adore it.
