Lyrics FOR MYSELF Look for the bare necessities The simple bare necessities Forget about your worries and your strife I mean the bare necessities Old Mother Nature's recipes That brings the bare necessities of life Wherever I wander, wherever I roam I couldn't be fonder of my big home The bees are buzzin' in the tree To make some honey just for me When you look under the rocks and plants And take a glance at the fancy ants Then maybe try a few The bare necessities of life will come to you They'll come to you! Look for the bare necessities The simple bare necessities Forget about your worries and your strife I mean the bare necessities That's why a bear can rest at ease With just the bare necessities of life Now when you pick a pawpaw Or a prickly pear And you prick a raw paw Well, next time beware Don't pick the prickly pear by the paw When you pick a pear Try to use the claw But you don't need to use the claw When you pick a pear of the big pawpaw; Have I given you a clue? The bare necessities of life will come to you They'll come to you! "So just try and relax, yeah cool it Fall apart in my backyard 'Cause let me tell you something, little britches If you act like that bee acts - uh-uh You're working too hard And don't spend your time lookin' around For something you want that can't be found" When you find out you can live without it And go along not thinkin' about it I'll tell you something true The bare necessities of life will come to you
@@electricitybomb Lol. You’re right. It’s literally called the “bare necessities.” It’s about being comfortable with the bare minimum. Still a catchy song though.
@@Sol_Invictus1997I see it as loving and appreciating life despite your struggles. Yes most us have issues but also.. most us have access to food and a house, billions of people to share to love with, phones to type out our complaints on. Most of our lives are dreams compared to the few. Finding beauty in simplicity does not equate to settling for less. It’s just embracing humility and rejected the continuously dissatisfied capitalistic culture that has a in a chokehold.
This brings so many bittersweet memories of my dad, my brother and I when I was little. We always sang Bare Necessities together and Dad was the best at it. Especially at the "paw paw" part. Made us laugh a ton because he could sing it very well and had a voice for it too. Sadly he passed away a few years ago and I miss singing this song with him even at my age. It was our theme song and movie as a threesome. It will always remind me of my father, and nothing could make me hate Jungle Book because of it.
King29Lewis This was one of the few good memories I had of my father when we spent the weekend with him. Most of the time I didn't see or hear from him for over a year at a time. There was nothing bad about it only that I just didn't know him all that well when he died. I wish I did. But there's nothing dirty about any of what I said.
I dont know why but this one is supposed to be a fun song but it makes me cry. I miss my childhood my innocent years. I miss those days where it was always fun and games. Now that im old I only wish that I could go back to my childhood even just for a day i swear to God I would cherish every moment. To all of you children who's reading this plsss, please enjoy your childhood love every moment and make friends as your money and medals will never comfort you when your down. don't focus too much on your future like i did live your today like its your last never be afraid to make mistakes life will progress as u turn those mistakes into a lesson.
You sound exactly like me, except I never wanted to grow up 😅 Now that I'm in my 30s, life is so dull and I spend so much of it reminiscing and wishing to go back. Like you, it's what I wish I could even just for 1 measly day!
My dad saw this movie in theaters when he was a kid and I remember me and my dad singing this song together and watching this movie on vhs it's my favorite memory of us❤💜💙
"Man sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.” (Jim Brown)
As a child I used to play this song with the rest of the sound track on my portable record player and a read along to the story. Then as small kids my Twins sons enjoyed it on vhs. Such an upbeat fun movie; brings back good memories!
This was my grandpa's favorite Disney movie and we always had fun watching it. I miss him it's been 9 years sense he passed away :( I will forever think of him when I listen or watch it Love you papa❤
This movie and song marked my childhood in a special way, I’m almost 30 years old and I still go to this song when I want to disconnect from all the worries in this world, only to realize that life is short and we should live it to the max, this song is better therapy than going to the actual therapist ✌️ thank you Disney!
this made me sad bc i was in this play last year and i was bagheera and i loves to hang with the boys (they boys that were playing baloo and mowgli) they were so much fun and this brings back memories😂😭💕😌
They did such a good job with the live-action version of this Disney classic, The Jungle Book! Both songs, Bare necessities & I wanna be like you were in the new movie and they were absolutely beautiful! Definitely try to watch the live-action version! 🐵🐷🐯🐘🐊🐻
i wish i had every disney movie ever made i would never get rid of them and this is my favorite disney song! i wish i had this movie. i started singing this in class and everone started sing a long it was hilarous
I loved Disney before it went all political bullshit. Those were the days. Now I can't afford to take the grandkids to Disneyland...and wouldn't if I could. Walt must be doing backflips in his grave...
MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE, No question about it. Went to frozen and feel asleep listening to the jungle book soundtrack. You say let it go? I say look for the bear necessities so a bear (my nickname is Teddy so its funny) can rest at ease. You say mosh? I say scratch.
Una linda canción que lleva consigo a modo de guía unas "instrucciones" vitales para seguirlas y sentirnos en plenitud desde la infancia hasta el final de los días. Infinitas gracias por compartirla literalmente en el idioma original. ¡FELICITACIONES!💚💙🧡💜💛😊⚘🗽🌏🎶🥰✌🎵
I got to play Baloo just last December for my High School's production of The Jungle Book. Sadly none of the songs were included as it followed the original novel closer than the Disney film. Regardless I had a great time playing on of my favorite Disney characters and won't forget about it any time soon.
That was back when Disney songs weren't to serious and had their own comic nature. Ever since The Lion King Disney movies have been taking themselves to serious.
I just had to hear this song, becuse of a Disney land video game. all i need is Brain Hull to make a video and sing this song with the Jungle Book Disney Impressions.
