It took me way longer than it should have to realize that i wasn't watching this on the Barenaked Ladies channel and that everyone on the boat was from Rooster Teeth! hahaha!
So many edgy teenagers complaining here and others never having heard of BNL. Dudes have been around for years and years. It's a fun song with an uplifting poppy vibe which is nice considering the constant chaos and focus on the negativity in the world across the Internet and the media. With the added bonus of playing "Spot the RT member". People have different tastes and enjoy different music. This is just a feel-good little song. To be swearing and ragging on it is pretty lame.
Is that the original lead singer? I haven't seen them since MTV back in 1998 for "One Week". I distinctly remember him looking geeky with glasses and slightly chubby, haha.

We need more songs like this around. Seems like current news and the world is constantly bleak and depressing. Having a moment of happy optimism is nice. It's better to be "Lookin' Up" than down anyways.
Good always prevails over evil anyways, with Kim the dictator they're looking into getting him to the ICC, so it's not so bleak, I'm personally going to love seeing his reaction if that does happen, it's time that cruel family get sense of reality for once. that doing things like that against humanity is not acceptable, especially when going into other countries and taking their people or killing them.
I mean, optimism would be nice, but the first set of lyrics kind of seemed...unreasonably optimistic. "I'll drink the first half, you can drink the rest [of a cup]." - that is literally one way to transmit waterborne and/or foodborne diseases like cold sores, or even Herpes in rare cases. Call me pessimistic, but I would've been optimistic enough that we would've learned to be more sanitary about how we consume food, drinks, or even meeting people in person. That was such an optimistic metaphor it is *literally* unsound advice.

I couldn't really find many ways to connect with my dad when I was in high school; we were just too different. But every morning when he was driving me to school, you bet we were both rocking out to Shoebox and all their other greatest hits.
I have been listening to BNL since the early 90s and I have had the great pleasure of seeing them many times, they are an awesome band. Steve, if you see this, please come back for 1 more tour, that would be incredible.

+what does DC stand for? definitely not, in fact the more I think about it, the more I'd like to see the Reds & Blues play the Avengers, Simmons could play Tony Stark, Caboose could be Bruce Banner (and probably the Hulk too) Sarge could play Captain America, Tucker can play Thor, Grif can play Hawkeye, and donut can play Black Widow

guys, these music videos you have done with BNL are really special to me. BNL Born On A Pirate Ship was one of the very first albums i ever owned as a child. and I first saw Rooster Teeth from RVB in middle school. and in the last few years my childhood has come together in a bizarre way
Man, my dad used to play "Pinch Me," and, "Another Postcard," all the time. This band is very nostalgic for me, and the fact that Rooster Teeth is making music videos for them now is phenomenal.
