The mammalian looks like it would fit better in the white pot you had soil in. I have this cactus and it does bend sideways even when I staked it up early on.

The white pot is actually a Tupperware bowl. It’s my popcorn bowl lol

You don’t tease out the root ball to encourage roots to spread out from being root bound ?

Sometimes I do. Not always. It’s better in most cases to do that. Sometimes I don’t want to stress the plant too much and sometimes I’m just lazy 😂

I'm new to cactus and succulents. I thought putting rocks 6:12 around the plants on top of soil causes them to hod onto moisture to ong and rot the plant? Thank you

It can happen. But here in Northern California we have very low humidity and everything dries out very quickly. I’ve never had an issue with rot due to the top dressing.

Where did you get your potting table?

I’m pretty sure I got it at Harbor freight

Never repot while they are in bud or bloom! You will lose the blooms!

I typically don’t but was tired of seeing this one on its side. It’s not anything special. It hasn’t dropped any buds and is still blooming.

Your soil looks awfully organic. I would make it a lot more gritty with small rocks, pumice, lava rock, etc.

It’s a cactus mix. It is a lot more gritty than it looks. It was slightly damp. I do add more inorganic material for some plants.
