Took a little trip to pick up a new (old) snowboard, which was close enough to Jamie's house to justify dropping in. His new DIY EV project is a family wagon. A 250k mile BMW E91 (Touring) that is surprisingly clean and straight for just £450. With the diesel lump removed, Jamie is swapping in a Lexus GS450h CVT - really a pair of powerful motors - and matched inverter, all powered by the ubiquitous Zombieverter controller.
We took a tour of the car and saw a little bit of driveway conversion action. Sadly most of the best knob gags always seemed to come in the moments the camera was off, so you'll just have to add in your own.
