Do you use FL Studio to record your music or have you switched to something else since your tutorial series? And what plugins are you using for that distorted tone? I'm beginning to record guitar in FL studio. I have no idea how to get the kind of sound you've got going on
I'm using Cubase. The main reason is that FL Studio is a bit limited if you stack a lot of tracks/ vst's, that are heavy on your cpu (does not have "Freeze track"), no exporting in AIFF files... Maybe they changed it on newer versions of FL Studio, but honesty I dont know. Bottom line is that if your goal is to do stuff like this, you can do it with FL Studio with no problems. You dont need AIFF files nor Freeze track option if your PC is semi good, since this kind of music does not need 40+ tracks or vst's(unless you want full orchestra, etc.). About plugins, distortion is NeuralDSP Gojira, default preset with a gain a bit lowered, but of course there is more in the guitar chain, like eq and stuff, plus I always record aditional guitar layers, one guitar panned hard left and other hard right, recorded individaly. Hope it helps
@@ilijatomic4976 Yeah it really does feel like FL Studio isn't mean for significant recording. Thanks so much for the insights! This video is sick too, great job!
@ilijatomic4976 I figured it out. The melody matches the main background melody to Genie in a Bottle by Christina Aguilera. This is just a little more my style of a song. Great work.
