Hi there. Today I make a start on a Permanent Bushcraft camp, using mostly natural resources. This camp will be somewhere to come and practice, bushcraft and continue to build on the camp, as time goes on. Thanks for watching. Check out my Etsy Shop for leather work products and merch.

Good work, love the difference between good old aussie hardwood compared to the pine you see on other channels. the stuff is as hard as iron.

I have always been interested in early Australian settlement history, the only thing missing from your video is some bushrangers riding by. The sound of the axe echoing in the hills was also something I haven’t heard for years. Once there were thousands of people walking around Australia doing what you have just done.

@tassiebushcraft3965
@tassiebushcraft3965 5 лет назад
I just moved back to Tassie last week, I hope to get out and make some new vids this month. I'm about to build some kind of "lean to" base camp, with the idea of building a hut there later. I'd love to use natural materials for the roof, but only if I find a recently fallen tree with good bark, like you did, I don't want to cut anything big down. I think Silver Wattle (Acacia Dealbata) has great potential, I think it would work a lot like birch bark, apart from my own experiments I've never seen it utilised. For walls I'm planning on "wattle & daub" technique, utilising the thick tea tree scrub in the area, and stone for the chimney. Very much enjoying your videos, keep it up!
@Southernlandbushcraft

Finally an aussie bushcraft channel. I've been watching Joe Robinet for a while now and a few other american and other place based bushcraft channels for about 6 months, it's strangely relaxing, but nots een an Aussie one as I've been curious how you'd go about it in our country. I think what could benefit the bideos would be some audio. For example, you were getting bark off of paper bark trees vs bark off a normal tree and a lot of people around the world probably haven't even heard of a paper bark tree before. Just little comments about what you're getting off of/from would go a long way to making the videos more engaging imho. Great vid, keep them coming.
