Another 26 minutes of pure , unadulterated, peace, pleasure and enjoyment. Thank you so much for taking the time to film this for us. Peace and health my friend.
I love CenterParcs, after a day in the woods back for a swim and a few beers then tucked up in a nice warm bed. Looks great, don’t you think? 😂 Seriously, great work and keep them coming.
Cooking on a hot stone - so damn cool @swedwoods. Always when I go to your channel and watch some videos, you do something special! And congratulations for 100k subscribers - you deserve it 👊🏽✌🏽
Joe from wisconsin america I absolutely love all your videos I usually watch your videos at minimum a couple times first time to watch what you are doing second time the backround it's so beautiful what a great place 👍keep making I will keep watching
A wonderful Sunday morning gift from you - what a great way to begin the week. I think I'll watch it every morning... Thank you. And now, morning two. It's Monday. 2nd watching. And stress that I wasn't even aware of left my body shortly into the first scene. It is so calming. Tuesday - day three... The scene with the light jug, far away and small, then zoomed out even further... It's humbling, like looking at the stars and realizing my relation to the universe... Wednesday, day 4... The calming feeling happened immediately at the beginning... The rock becomes a stove, the potato an onion, the water jug becomes a source of light... Dinner is on, and all is well. Thursday - Fifth viewing... Beautiful simplicity....so much is made visible with less and less clutter... Friday morning, sixth viewing... The mind viewing for the sixth time is not the mind that viewed the first time...there is now a deeper understanding of that which seems unavailable in contemporary living, of what is necessary yet missing, the desire for it and the understanding that this could indeed be a way of life...has entered my awareness... Thank you... Day 7, Saturday morning... Seeing nuances that I hadn't noticed until now...this has been a great experience. Many likes, many thank you's.
I'm fascinated watching your videos. It makes you want to run and go to the woods. thank you for sharing your techniques with us. big hug and see you in the woods.
Hey my friend I missed you already. Very nice video outstanding like always. I was out today too 20 minute drive on a farmer's land he has some pine trees. I was hunting fattwood I found a few pieces enough for my self. I could be there only 30 minutes then I couldn't walk proper anymore. Now I am laying on a hot water bottle lol. Next week I get 3 needles in my back so that I make it over the next 3 or 4 month I get cortisone I think you know that staff. I am so jealous you have all the Forest there is that is so nice and you know exactly what to do with it my respect Brother. I told you ones that I like you music if you want to know what I am listen too you can see on RU-vid look for "Faun"this is old Deutsche kind of erlie folksinger. Ok my friend stay healthy with your family bye bye thank you for the new nice video.
Thanks a lot my friend and glad to hear you went out there, even though you had to pay for it. I love Faun man. Have been listening to them for years. I really like the song "Andro". atb.
Good morning Thank you for your comment. Well then we have something in common I like that . You r realy good teacher out there in the bush alot of peaple can lean from you.i hope you keep doing what you do then there is not much for me in the tv lol. Stay healthy with your family bye bye from Thorsten
Some very clever multi-purpose builds, without being too difficult or complex to put together in less than ideal circumstances, or for beginners. It's already got me thinking of using the pot hanger method with the curved canteen type cups, just bore a hole up the center and one cross-wise, then split the stick down from the crosswise hole to the end rather than saw. The center bore should help accommodate the curve of the cup and the cross-drilled hole should "lock" the lip of the rim in place. You could still put the cross cut in for items with a bail or top handle. Thanks for getting the ol' brain working! It looked pretty soggy, but it looked like it worked out well and you had a great trip! 🤔💭💡😄👍👍❤️🇨🇦
Always good to watch you videos. A different Bushcraft trick everytime. Awesome. What was that powder you scraped from the tree? Also ,you always put a stem in your kettle spout. For filtering or flavor? Thanks again looking forward to the next vid.
"Bushcrafting". A waste of time. Jeg er selv jeger, fisker, skoggangsmann og ganske erfaren i uteliv. Derfor trodde jeg temaet var noe for meg, men jeg er og praktisk anlagt, og skogturer handler ikke om å tilpasse skogen til meg. Bare det å felle inn brynet i en stokk heller enn å holde det i hånda, blir rett og slett for dumt. Du får kose deg videre ute, men jeg skal ikke se på. Mvh en norsk villmann
Another great video!! I just came back from a six day trip with my lavvu, out of the six days it rained three. It was easy going to sleep listening to the rain on the canvas. Thanks again from bringing us along!!!
@@Swedwoods I had my ammo can stove along for some heat and cooking, which was nice. It did get down to 23F a couple of nights... The biggest problem after a couple of days was just getting in and out of the lavvu, but my gear and I were nice and dry!! Thanks again for the great videos!!
could you make a playlist of "video clips" cut from existing videos with parts where you cook? its simply epic.. i think it would get lots of views without even recording anything
Did you use a chlorine tablet in that water jug to make it illuminate so brightly? I've seen a thing they do in South America in towns with little to no electricity where they fill empty 2l bottles and have them half in half out in the ceiling of the shacks & the UV reacts with the chlorinated water and it acts as a low watt light bulb inside the shack. Pretty cool & looks kinda similar. Here's the link to the video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o-Fpsw_yYPg.html
This is the 1st of your films I've seen. For me the whole reason for being out in the wilderness is for the tranquillity . I definitely don't want to hear people speaking. Fantastic use of natural materials. Lots of great ideas to steal here. I'll be watching more.
Nice video from you again, my friend. Always there is something new to learn from you, thank you very much for sharing. It is a good way to start a Sunday with your experiences. Please, a new one soon. Greetings from Madrid
I loved the use of the felled tree to carve a spot for the Knife sharpening block, wow and the Wooden Spool he carved for cooking looked better than anything you could buy in the god damn store, I wish we could all live this free
The water bottle light diffuser is a great idea...and it made for some stunning visuals! Plus another novel way to hang pots and to adjust them over the fire. Thanks!
Thanks! Yeah these ideas actually worked very good. One nice detail was that the pot was more sturdy and fixed in its position. Nice when you stir the pot because you can do it one handed.
@@Swedwoods I was amazed that (somehow) the friction fit was enough to hold the pot edge. There was something fine you did in crafting that and I do not understand it.
@@jamesellsworth9673 when you insert it first the tight friction fit is enough to hold a light empty pot in the air. But even as the cut gets bigger by use, or lets imagine a bigger cut thats not so snug fit.. the pot will still hang there. Because the attaching point is not above the centre of gravity of the object. Its on the side of it, creating a force that tilt everything to the side, thus increasing the "pinch" of the pot. In fact, the more water you pour into the pot, the more it gets pinched to the stick. So the firm stable attachment of the stick up at one of the tripods legs is crucial for this to work, to stop the whole stick holding the pot from tilting.
two days one night. Then you need to relocate or ask landowner for permission. Also depends on how many people are camping. Read "allemansrätten". There is a lot to think about.
As always a class vid, I feel so much calmer when I have watched it, just a great end to the day, stay loose man, I've never found watching a dude eat soup so interesting before lol,
I nver knew u could cook a piece of meet on a rock after removing the whole fire wow that was simply amazing the potatoes and onions too that looks like it would be tastier and more natural than any fancy restraunt
Want to keep your pots from getting ashy - don't use a pot - use a rock! and a pine needle meat prep plate - very nice - How did you keep the meat fresh overnight?
Most powerful part of this video is simplicity. I would want to do much of nothing out there but sleep and eat and take naps. Doing nothing is very necessary and healing
I made it myself out of a lawn mover blade. Oak handle. there is a video on it if you scroll like a hundred vids down. Had totally beginners luck in the heat treat so its still my best knife after all these years going through at least 50 good knives. I will probably have it with me in the coffin when its all over LOL
Always get hungry by watching your videos 🤭🤫🤤🤤 every meal looks so delicious 🔝👌 i love sitting in front of the fireplace just look into the flames and dream about wonderful things 🔥🥰
Great location! I'm loving the water lamp improvisation - great idea. What seasoning are you using on the meat? I've seen you using it before and it looks like chili? Hot rock cooking - it's a good way to cook the meat just to your liking. :D
That brought a smile on so many levels. The hot rock cooking at the end was awesome. I was thinking to myself, "Wait, what's he doing? No way..! Will it work? Man I can't believe that worked!"
Really great videos. I spend a lot of time in the swedish woods myself. 2 quick ones for you. 1. Where in Sweden do you hike/craft? 2. Have you ever encountered bear? Keep up the amazing work!
Where I usually hang out the biggest threat is cougars. Big cougars. That is why I feel the need to carry a firearm. No dog is a match for these big cats. Bears generally stay away from a big dog. Happy trails.
Its a variation on the popular Swedish LK35. Its a bit bigger and lighter. and got a waist strap. Its called "Ryggsäck ST lätt" here. Its an awesome daypack! Only know about surplus here in Sweden that got it. But google it.
as always brilliant quite surprised at size of tripod, i agree Autumn everything is soaking wet but not long till it freezes over, love the spoon carving a big thumbs up and shared to my group...atb
