This is a Rare Color Combo 1963 Corvette Split Window. Sebring Silver exterior over a Red interior. My father found this car in 2013 and it was in the garage in the thumbnail photo, siting since the late 70’s early 80’s. We bought it from the Original Owner, it is wearing what is left of all its ORIGINAL Paint, very nice No-Hit Body, a underside that was never undercoated or cut up. It is a early 63 so it has the deeper floors under the seats everyone calls “tool boxes”. My father and I then sold it to a Freind (Rod Saboury) who then sold it to Rick Hendrick (Owner of Hendrick Motorsports) where it sat in his warehouse a few years, he was gonna use it as a Restomod build originally but decided against it after seeing how original the car was and then sold it to another Freind of mine who bought it and was going to restore it, but as you can see from the video above when I bought it back from him, he has A LOT of cars to restore and prolly wouldn’t get to this one for years… so we made a deal after I bugged him to sell it to me for 6 months or so and I got it back!
This is the best car 1963 split window and c2 corvette I have ever taken apart. Every bolt turned out without any heat or oil, just took them all out didn’t break one! We reused every original bolt that was in good shape still. Restored them all and used them back in it when putting the chassis back together after powder coating. This is the original chassis with the vin stamp still on it in both places. We restored the original engine, rebuilt to orig 327/340hp spec with all new everything from oil pan to valve cover. Broke it in on a dyno. It is ready to go! Still going back and forth with painting it. I did have the seats recovered and they are ready to install again but didn’t wanna do that until I figure out if I’m painting it or installing new carpet and the restore seats and driving/selling it like it is with completly Ncrs style restored underside.
