Dragged out this old 14-T baler from a barn and put it straight to work. Seems to run pretty good only problem is after the 20-25 bale the knotter seems to skip so we loose a bale.
We have one that has been sitting for at least 40 years, I may try and get her going someday. Plus a sickle bar that has been sitting too. Yours looks like it is working fine.
I have one of these old rascals. You have probably changed by now ; but the idler sprocket for the feeding forks should be on top the #60 drive chain. Had to put all new roller chain on mine , it works very well.
@@MikeOrazzijust check all of the fluids, grease, check the chains good twine. My Dad ran it at lower RPMs about the same as the video above. We don't miss too many bales. Maybe 10 per thousand but if the hay gets a little tough (damp) the right billhook doesn't let go of the twine as well. Oh and sharp twine knives help. Good luck!!
The first thing I have to do is drag it out of some brush, then look for the grease fittings and see what turns and what doesn't turn... wish me luck. @@anthonyhengst2908
I got pne at an auction last year for $300. Knottera won't engage to tie, otherwise everything else works. Hoping to make time to look at it soon. It's my spare to the 336.
Oh wow,it's nice to see a 14t again.we had one in the 1960s.it too would miss tieing about every 30th bail.we never found the reason for that.the 14 T also broke a lot of flywheel, agger, and knotter shear pins.
