I've built 2 Bonanzas from the ground up a 1950B and 1976 V35TC-A which I still have, both were found in hanger on a rack they were totally empty not even a wire tail feathers, I have touched every part on them, before I flew them I did 3 days walking looking running racing up and down runway. When the gear came up and flaps came up I was still holding the yoke so tight , the B only had 56 gals, I flew it till it was almost empty after that it never gave me any problems the E225 start in couple blades I had mufflers on it,, but the speed I get with the turbo is fantastic but I've made so many mods , gap seals is probably one of the best for speed and handling also had help building the engine. There is no better flying aircraft like the Vtail ....

Love watching you guys as all of this seems SO familiar even though it’s been 40 years. I hate those brake clips with a passion, in my view the worst shortcoming in an otherwise spectacular design. I had committed to land southbound late in the day once with a direct 90 degree crosswind. The runway at the now defunct Elgin Airport was WWII metal army mats with asphalt over it. Only a portion was paved so I had already flared and had the mains on the grass at the North end when out of the corner of my eye I caught the wind vane and sock suddenly indicate a strong tailwind. I had been advised by an old timer NOT to use the brakes because of those clips (“get Clevelands!” was his advice) so I usually bled speed once the mains were on by doing a “space shuttle” landing with the nose way up. For that reason I wasn’t too concerned about the wind shift, but I did have to use moderate brake pressure and then WOW, suddenly when almost to a stop there was a bang and the plane lurched. That stupid single puck had warped the brake disk with just that amount of pressure, and once it warped I think 4 of those clips broke. We immediately replaced all of them, and wished for Cleveland’s but could not afford them before selling. So it brought a big smile and a laugh when you said you’d get Clevelands. You won’t regret it. I later flew an A-36 with Clevelands, and man, what a difference!! Another safety thing you might want to consider along that same type of thinking is a Beryl D’Shannon thick one piece windshield. With how hard a Bonanza can hit a bird like a goose, those are good investments.

Loving this content! I would love to hear more about not only what you are doing but why you are doing it. Also invest in a couple tripods, small and larger, so you can position the camera easier to get working shorts. Close and far.

I couldn’t catch his name (I think Lucas) but the fella getting out of the 172 in shorts - as soon as he opened his mouth, CHICAGO! Then you threw up the Harry Caray joke and I knew I was right.

I knew of a G35 down in North Carolina (KSUP) that was flown there , then sat outside for over 10 years in a salt air environment until it was nothing but corrosion from the spinner back. Sad. And that is a beautiful Squaretail !!

Great Vid on restoring a wonderful antique plane. I find the continuous music is annoying. Thanks! :)

Hate to do it, but there is a difference between calvary (where Jesus was crucified) and cavalry (horse soldiers).

This is very exciting and an unbelievably good looking plane. Great colour scheme. So I have to ask- how much did you pay for it , what are your plans for it etc ? Drop the background music maybe apart from your speed up summaries but other than that very interesting content. We’ll done I’m now a subscriber from the UK All the best of luck Scott

Love the video but that background music is so distracting and makes it difficult to hear some things.

The audio levels on your vid are too soft. I can’t hear what you are discussing.

I noticed that after the upload. My fault completely. Thank you for the feedback and letting us know. It will be rectified in the next video. Was trying to not make us ear splitting and went to low. Thanks for watching!
