That ol’ girl, it’s pretty amazing. It makes me happy when the car’s been sitting for 30 years and has left her junk. It’s still hasn’t get up and go take good care of her boys.❤😊

My eyes actually began welling up when ol girl came out. However, I ALWAYS enjoy that father and son bond that's appears to be GENUINE and not just for the camera. Keep up the AWESOME revivals!

Looks like a 1968 Beetle to me. My father owned one like this for years. I was the same off-white exterior color but had a Black interior. I hope you do a series restoring this car. I dig it. Interesting the shot of the interior at the end showed two gas guages. One in the speedo like a true 1968 and another in the dash like a 1967 or earlier would have. Looking forward to the next video.

In the 70’s I had beetle like this one in Africa (Kenya) and it never let me down except some rust. Love what you guys do especially father and son combination. God bless you all 😊

Wow, pretty darn amazing how easily you guys got it running! She looks to be pretty rust free too! A good wash job and steel wool on the bumpers and she's going to look mighty fine. The white interior looks to be in really nice condition as well.

I love those old Bugs! I learned to drive on a '68 Beetle. This car is a great one to completely restore. I know a lot of people would love to own a car like this because I'm one of them! I can see beetle has the same reputation in the US as it have in Brazil (where we calle it 'Fusca'). This Beauty is so easy to rebuild up, can be parked for years and still fire up. Old Volkswagen knew how to make it.

Took more time to clean out the mouse house than to get it running.. Just a little scrape of the points, starter fuel pump and carberater worked amazing.

I bought that ones sister back in 1982 and she had her undercarriage rotted out from all those Berkshire winters but was still able to drive her down to St. Petersburg Florida and then across to Nashville, Tennessee and back to Massachusetts sometimes only with two gears lol

watching this episode of the VW Beetle, Iam really enchanted, I have a 1977 1300L Brazilian version, and I love these cars, please restore it to the original standard, it is worth a lot of money, here in Brazil it is very popular and loved by many people. Please don't dismantle this car, this Beetle is a tima capsule.

Please do quick cleanup video of this week! Power wash patina scrub. Kinda think it's gonna shine up so well you could paint match repaint hood and grill area behind it !

What a sweet deal. Clean out a rats nest, throw some gas in it, air up the tires (kind of) and off you go! That little bug looks like it will shine up pretty good! Have to wonder about that fire damage though! I’m sure you folks will figure it out. Look forward to seeing more of this little beauty! Thank You All for the Great video!

I'd love to find something like that. Always wanted a bug just to have. Meanwhile I spent 2k on my 91 Celica convertible...some jackass without insurance hit it 6mo after I bought it crumpling the back passenger quarter panel - that was back in '21. It still drives fine, but the back quarter needs completely replacing. Probably won't ever be able to get it fixed as any time I've found a yard within 500 miles with a good one, they never get back and I don't have 3k they've told me would be the minimum to fabricate it. Anyway...venting over...I love your all's content. I actually almost flew to TX back in '20 to look at a hyper blue BRZ, but the assholes sold it after I'd already been talking to them just as I was going to book tickets.

This car is what they used to make the Herbie movie car. In that video they do a little part like they are picking it up from a junkyard like out of the movie but it is really this car they rebuild. It’s a good video, you should watch it.

Not a surprise at all, these cars are extremely overbuilt that's why people make Sand rails with the frames, and Baja off-road Beatles out of em. The engines only have between 30 and 55 horsepower, but built with virtually bulletproof internals capable of close to 1000 horsepower. In fact many people build them up to make over a thousand horsepower with pretty much slightly welded modified and balanced stock internals.

Awesome find. But you guys really need to carry things you WILL NEED. Keep them in the rig you use and make sure you can do anything. Battery powered blower, hose, floor jack...ect. LOL. Even the LORD says to be prepared

This is a re-hash of sorts of this VW. The car was on the channel over 2 years ago in a different story line. This story arc, which seems to be the more likely story, shows it was found in a barn, and they got it running, but the other video's direction shows it being rescued from a salvage yard, fork lifted to the trailer and they trailered it home. Same car, if you look at it closely, just different origin story. Maybe it was to incorporate the "Herbie Love Bug" story line. Not sure what happened there. I do know they used to work with different production team, maybe it was a bit of creative license. Maybe someone will explain the issue.

I can't believe they never opened the front trunk Very well could've been a spare tire in there. It would've been easier than the either trick because they used the pressure from that tire to power the washer fluid. I can't believe they never opened it. I waited and waited never happened
