BARN FIND RESURRECTION | 1967 GMC Shortbed Truck 

This was my Great Uncle George pickup. I can remember Uncle George and Aunt Frances driving this old truck.I remember before Larry put the truck in the barn, the paint was like new and the truck look like a new truck and ran perfect. I am glad that Larry sold it to someone who plans to restore it and bring it back to life. Good luck and looking forward to seeing the many updates.

my Dad's chev short box had a 383 and it was the first truck I drove as a permit driver. They do bring back memories! My Dad was the best.

This is so cool! I just saw the thumbnail and had to watch! Back 1971, my dad bought a truck just like this one!! The same color and it was also the base model. The differences were that my dad's GMC was a long bed, typical four-speed and it had a V6 engine. I loved the sound of the V6, after he installed a glass pack muffler on the exhaust. I loved to drive that truck! Great memories! Good luck with the restoration! What a real gem!!

My grandpa had a 1968 Chevy gmc with the rear step side fenders and chained tailgate, real light yellow in color, six cylinder, three on the tree! My first vehicle I ever drove! "Sweet truck"!

Damn what a Beauty!! I picked up a 1970 Chevrolet 3 dr Suburban a few months back, and with it I got a 72 GMC 3 dr suburban, Now the BEST is the 70 its a 1/2 ton and 4x4, trans was shot no forward gears. and its a got a bit of cancer... rusty.. ug.. But for my needs and living my a salvage yard, got another trans, whom ever had this truck sure BEAT on it.. " DUMMIES! " I am using the 72 for parts for the 70. Not a full restore right now but down the road I sure WILL! THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS GUYS!! LOVE these OLD TRUCKS! There the BOMB!!!

My grandpa, born in 1903, was a farmer in Oklahoma... every 4 years he bought new a chevy or GMC just like this. 6 banger, 3 on tree, only options were heavy duty radiator and heater. Paid cash, no debt. In 1959 my granny got a 9 volt transistor radio and hung it from the rear view mirror...lol

It's amazing so many trucks are left abandoned. Life always goes on and each vehicle will be part of someone's life for many years to come.

I paid $600 for my '69 C-10 back in the late '70's. It was a 6 cyl short bed. Love that body style. I'd wash it get good brakes and tires and RIDE baby. The simplicity of the 60's and 70's C-10 is a blessing from God.

Man it's just something about driving a truck in the hard hard rain that just calms be down. Just watching the rain videos seeing the trucks makes me wana hope in my suburban and just cruise and put this video on the android screen lol . New subscriber

I have my share of old trucks in my collection,40,s to early 70 s. I love the excitement that builds up from when you first find it,then the negotiation then loading it on the trailer. And best of all, driving home on the highway, everyone looking, thumbs up, and me thinking,that's right buddy , it's MINE.!!!!!

I had the same situation as you guys, but mine is a 1970 Chevy C/10 with almost all the dressings, (power steering, 4 wheel heavy-duty drum brakes, and factory air conditioning). My grandfather had a 400 small block built for it back in the early 70s and it finally broke down in about 1990. It sat in a barn for the majority of 20+ years, and when we finally pulled it out a few days ago and gave it a nice wash, it almost looked brand new. Of course, it's sitting at the college I'm attending (for automotive tech) with nothing but the cab, frame, and bed still together. It'll be coming together in a few weeks for hopefully the last time before it can be called road worthy again.

After watching this barn find video, hearing the back story from the original owner, seeing the attention given to get it out unharmed, then being blessed with mother natures rain as if it's tearing of joy from the original owners late wife, how can't you not love this kind of stuff! You just can't make this s%!t up yo!!!!

When I was little my dad had a 67 red GMC long bed. He sold it when I was ten.

I live in Toccoa and find myself in Gainesville quite often. I hope to see this amazing truck rolling around town sometime soon. It'll make a very nice cruiser with the inline six and three on the tree. That's the way I'd wanna drive it anyway.

Love that old boy he reminds me of my 1970 Chevy C10 three on the tree with the 283 and long bed and 6 lug a lot of people don't realize that there was a skinny 15 in six lug if he was mine I would leave him bone stock just restored enough to get him to run not modify him anyway

Awsome truck and a very rare fine to find it in that good of a shape.

Nice! Love the small back window. Only other one that was that nice was one we pull out of a garage in Detroit Michigan with 3700mi. 396 3spd. But we didn't film it.

the only three things I would do to it is clean it clear it move the gas tank and leave it as a suvivour truck

'67s are cool with the small back window. That 3 speed would be awesome behind a 327. Put a floor shifter in it.

Man...what a honey! That is one nice GMC...smoothie rear bumper, emblemless from the factory. Yea, you got to be on top of those postings as you obviously were. I'm not even to the part where y'all load it onto the trailer...but you guys have my respect. You handled that extraction like pros. So, I will now sit here...eat my heart out...and watch the rest of your video. Y'all talk kinda funny, but we could get along just fine.
