Reminds me of the ole saying “where there’s a will, there’s a way” great job! When I didn’t see a video yesterday I was wondering how you came out with the water lines!
Great Job John. Be careful with the radiant oil heater. Try not to use it on higher temp settings, mine started cooking the wiring. You'll smell it if it does. 🙋♂️
I hear my small house in NC with 3 radiant oil heaters. I don’t go about 70, usually 69. I keep on the very low 1 bar (there’s 3 bars). To me they are the safest, but I don’t know. I turn way down if I leave, or off.
John you’ve done a great job insulating the underneath where all your lines are exposed and putting the small heater underneath. The plastic over the door is a game changer also! I think you have won the battle and looks like next week warmer weather is coming. I think now you can kinda see why they really aren’t made to live in in the Cold 🥶 winter months. Your barndomenium is really the answer when it gets to single digit temperatures outside you would never keep lines from freezing. You impress me with your hard work and what you get accomplished and you seem to do almost anything! Also still might pick up one of the solid pipe sewer drains and you’ll be amazed how much better and easier that will drain. Great job and keep the videos coming!! Stay warm!

Couth is an adjective that means "refined or well mannered," like a couth gentleman who stands every time a woman leaves or returns to the table at the fancy dinner - the poor guy got a workout! As a noun, couth means good manners, sophistication or politeness, like having the couth to hold the door - or hold your tongue if the conversation turns to touchy subjects like money, politics, religion, or a person's physical appearance. The opposite of couth is uncouth.
That’s why people should put people in videos unless they are married. Complicates things. This is one of many channels dealing with this and these Types of questions. I don’t know why once people Know what the deal is on a channel with them not being married, don’t just move on to a different subject. That’s not the basis of this channel. It’s about Appalachia. It’s not a soap opera, as the world turns..🌎 the John and Jody show… that’s not why I ever watched this channel!
Hello there John. It is always so good to hear from you. Your barndominium is looking very nice. Thank you so very much for everything you do. Your hard work and dedication is outstanding 👍💪 enjoy your day and take care. Stay warm and healthy.
*Get a combo smoke and co alarm that actually shows you a read out of actual PPM 0f CO in the air. The CO alarm only go off when they reach high levels 200-400. But 12PPM FOR 24hrs is dangerous for US. $54 for the combo is worth its weight in gold.*✌️
Glad to see your water is running and you have heat under the camper.I was wondering why the garage door was open now I understand. Hope your door gets put up soon.

Really enjoy your videos, I love all things primitive or yesterday year. I'm a contractor and I pay attention to details some people take for granted. But if you don't know you don't know . Be careful climbing an extension ladder of any height on smooth concrete, especially cold or wet. The cold rubber pads don't stick like they do in the warmer Temps. Don't wet to see you or anyone else get injured. Stay warm and thanks for your time
I don’t see many trees on his land he can cut for firewood . Firewood is expensive here on the NC Border with TN. I bought a lot Of it for a Lot smaller space to heat. I love wood heat, but wood has really gotten expensive
Forgot… the other thing is the insurance rates go through the roof if you hear with wood. They ask you and they stick it to us. Insurance is useless anyway.
John, you’ve done a great job with all of this. We use one of those oil filled electric heater in the rv, it works great. Question, does your water have an electric option. If so, run it on electricity, and keep it on…it will help a great deal to keep the pipes warm. Excited to see the next videos.

Since I have not seen all your intentions with the Barndominium just wonder if your plans are to insulate it for the future? We know of a few people whom have built these in Wisconsin and have finished part of them into a home, while still having a very large, heated, garage area. We also had friend whom built a large insulted pole shed, with a wood boiler for in-floor, radiant, heat and lived in their motorhome while building their actual home.

Hi, I was going to recommend covering the large door with a tarp last video. But it seems you figured that out. Good job getting it done. Now you can enjoy the rest of the winter hopefully trouble free. Take care!
Glad you got the winterizing done. Great job. You're very resourceful. Was smart to use what you already had available for some of it. Look forward to rest of the series. God bless
