Barnes Coaches - Coach Driving Apprenticeships 2020 

Love the drivers Barnes is a fantastic company

seems to be a new thing this bus driver apprenticeship, the hardest thing to get right is good management and decent pay. never done coaching, I spent 18 years on busses and the pay has got dramatical worse. always fancied driving abroad to experience mini holidays.

My school use Barnes for school runs to and from school also trips lovly drivers when my bus is a barnes

I used to drive on the buses when they were semi automatic and the coaches I went onto were Greenline and Shearing's. Again semi auto. A few years later the buses (well the doubles I used to drive went fully auto) so I imagine the single decker's went fully auto too? What I wondered was what gearbox coaches are these days? Did they also go fully auto as well? I left the industry during the transition period so never found out? A silly question but as my licence is still valid I wondered if I was covered still or would need an upgrade to drive manual as most coaches were back then?
