Robbo man we can’t play every player every game. Barnes has started games and hasn’t really done anything. He does far better coming on as a sub. That’s not to say he won’t start on occasions but the negativity from so many toon fans is mind boggling.good sides find ways to win even when they aren’t playing well. That’s exactly what we are doing at the minute.
I think Barnes started against Brentford last year and scored. He started against spurs this year and scored. Could you please remind me the matches he started and wasn't good?

@@SimonLDCTV Yeah I would like you to remind me a couple of these games please. If you think that a player is signed in that age, for this amount of money to be an impact sub, you think wrong and it's a matter of time for Barnes to show frustration if keeps hitting good numbers and warms the bench.

Bruno was missing today, since getting the arm band isnt being th leader on the pitch that even before the arm band he was more of..easy to egg on the fans in good times but been shy and quiet hes never talking to the ref, like today when gordon got chopped three times in a row and the last foul was two and bruno was no where speaking with the ref…. he isnt marshalling the team i think we really miss tripps on the pitch when he came on we got organised and started attacking
My man, I said in an older post before he got the band that that it will affect his game. That's what's happening now...last 3 games Bruno wasn't talked about much like he was before the band. Well, we are getting what we wished for. Hopefully, the old Bruno will come back with the rest of the team. At the min, I don't care about sexy football after 4 games. Win whichever way possible ⚽️💪🏽
What a strange start to the season. We haven't played well yet we're unbeaten in the league, 3rd in the table and still in the league cup. Utterly mad but I'll take this over playing amazing football but losing.

Spot on. My guess is Howe wants to ease Tonali into the lineup while neither Gordon nor Barnes are r their best playing on the right side, and I think Miggy is all but done leaving only Murphy to play on the right side
Willock surviving fulltime is big for me. He's such a great link-up player in midfield for us. I hope he can stay injury-free and fit for most of the season. He's actually fair good when you watch him. Tonali also looks mint in the middle. Bruno is world class but he looked a bit tired tonight. Presumably its the long ass flights back from the Brasil squad? HWTL 10 pts from 12. We take that like.
Just an idea. Why not try Tino on the right wing? He has all the attributes to succeed as a winger. Put Tripps back into the Starting XI at RB, and Mitchell looks for a new backup RB to Tripps in January or Ashby comes back from loan. It is good to have versatility in the squad.

I am happy with the win. And I am delighted we are not capitulating like last season, so that is progress. The team will click eventually and we would be guns blazing all game long. But until then grinding out results is more important. Look where we are 2 points off 1st. That is not too bad. Mighty glad we have Gordon to replace Isak up front. Gordon is our lucky charm and should get priority on the left. For once, Eddie made the right subs at the right time. Big Joe deservedly hooked and so too Longstaff. Poor from both. I think Tino hinders our game rather than help it. Put him on the left if you have to and bring Tripps back into the starting line up. Wilson needs to come back quickly if Isak is forced out for long.
It’s so long (how long exactly?) since we’ve had a squad like this with 16 or so players fighting for first 11. It’s hugely helpful for us as gives Manager flexibility (and a headache!). Other teams have had this advantage/conundrum for years.

Kelly better ball playing Left Centre back than Burn for me and Hall still has some levels to reach DEFENSIVELY if he is to become a top class LEFT BACK
@@jimmyeatsmovies893 I agree 👍 💯% in fact maybe next January window the club can move decisively for either Ben Chilwell (Chelsea)? Kieran Tierney (Arsenal)? Both are considered surplus to requirements at their clubs, injury records aren't too great but for SHEER QUALITY and experience they're far better than what is available to Eddie Howe in those defensive positions
@@mikem9309 Agreed but tbf you shouldn't need anything going forward from Newcastle especially when you already have the likes of Schar, Trippier Bruno G, JoeLinton J7, etc. Mind Burn just had a poor game and generally does better than that but I'd still put Krafth in the side ahead of Burn now as he's massively stepped up on his performances since returning from serious injury. 😉
Think Barnes coming off the bench has more impact then murphy ..also when Barnes starts he's been deflating for newcastle ..hopefully now Barnes has earned the shirt thou and shows abit of consistency ...what a win hwtl 🏴🏳️
WOW .. the most liked comment so far is one demanding that two of the players in a game we we won are dropped! … is that true SUPPORT..and is it not undermining the manager?….that was a terrific result .. any premier league team without a win are going to be working hard to rectify the situation… brilliant tactics by Eddie to be able to bring on three fresh terrific subs to win us the game …
I thought Eddie got the subs spot on remember tonalis been out for 10 months jo Linton isn’t lighting up the stage at the moment longsaff is doing the donkey work that’s why he’s in the team and when you have a bench as strong as we have now it’s great. And let’s face it we’re in third place with 3 more points. What’s all the doom and gloom.
Something is going on with our club, and I don’t think it’s good behind the scenes. Eddie Howe selection baffles me so much. I’m not saying Barnes should play every minute and I’m not saying some players are pants. But how Longstaff gets on over Tonali is a very strange one. We will not keep getting away with it. I think it’s strange that our striker goes off injured and we don’t give Osula even a run out.

January is a long time from now ,15 prem games but the fact Newcastle don't have European football will help concentrate on the league,,if Shity get points deductions and a world class winger , dream a dream.

Great 3 points but something just isn't clicking this season. And for God sake start your strongest players (Sandro, Barnes). If theybcabt do 90mins for whatever reason, bring them.off. but start them. Longstaff costing us another goal today. No idea how we're on 10 points, for def take it. And as per, Wilson gone from 'being a doubt' for the opening game, to still no frigging sign of him 4 weeks later. Joke.
Its a long season Barnes will get starts why change bringing him on as an impact sub if it yeild results. Would Barnes be as effective if not as fresh???..The style we play high energy requires squad rotation for people to already start with oh he should start or such en such should start is negative. @@DontwatchB I think Eddie ( the manager ) accesses every game thoroughly, and He usually does ok , obviously due to our exploits in the CL last season we just didn’t have the players available..but when he has a decent squad He usually gets results.. so maybe he looked at wolves AWAY and thought they’ve had a poor start .. I’ll use longstaff and Murphy to soak up early pressure .. or whatever he thought …His management won us the game .. I would never have the brass neck to think I know better than Eddie…
@@DontwatchB that’s probably because you just pick up on his mistakes…seeing what you want to see.. not the stats management see … the non stop running ect … I trust in the manager ..it’s hard to appreciate stamina .. the suggestion that Eddie won’t start tonali when He thinks He’s ready is not realistic..
I’m fed up with Howe’s starting lineups, if it wasn’t for two individual efforts from Barnes and Shar we were well beaten. Needs to get his shit together.
3rd, unbeaten, not playing well but picking up points. i can live with that rather having something to actually moan about. if we had 4 losses then maybe yes, and this oh if they did this we would be well beaten is bollox.
