IM ABOUT TO RANT ready? OH MY GOD, I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT AFTER EIGHT SEASONS OF BUILD UP THE RIDERS DECIDE TO MAKE THIS STUPID ASS CHOICE! I’VE WATCH THIS SHOW OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND I ALWAYS HAVE TO SKIP THE LAST EPISODE BECAUSE IT IS JUST PLAYING IT HAPPEN. THEY’RE INSIDE JOKES AND JUST HOW CUTE THEY ARE , IT’S ACTING, IS EVERYTHING. IT WAS THROWN ALL THE WAY BECAUSE… ACTUALLY, THERE IS NO BECAUSE. THERE’S NO LOGICAL REASON AS TO WHY SOMEBODY WHO MADE THE SHOW WOULDN’T MAKE THAT DECISION. THEY LOST SO MANY FANS. IT JUST MAKES NO SENSE FOR ROBIN AND BARNEY. THE COUPLE IS SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO CUTE TOGETHER AND THERE IS NO REASON WHY THEY SHOULD’VE GOTTEN DIVORCED. BARNEY IS ALL A GIRL COULD WISH FOR IN A MAN AND ROBIN. IT’S ALL A BOY COULD WISH FOR IN A GIRL. I STILL HAVE THE BIGGEST FUCKING LEAVE ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO DECIDED TO MAKE A DECISION. I WASTED MONTHS OF MY LIFE, WATCHING A SHOW. ALL OF IT TO BE THROWN AWAY IN ONE EPISODE. I CANNOT EVEN BEAR TO WATCH THAT EPISODE. I NEVER HAVE, AND I NEVER WILL. THE PEOPLE WHO CHOSE TO MAKE THAT DECISION DIE ALONE IN A HOLE. IN MY EYES, ROB AND BERNIE NEVER GOT DIVORCED. THEY ARE LIVING HAPPILY, AND TRAVELING ALL AROUND THE WORLD WITH ROBIN AS A CELEBRITY AND BERNIE IS THE FAMOUS WINGMAN. I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE SOMEONE WOULD ACTUALLY MAKE A DECISION WHILE RIDING THE SHOW. I SIMPLY CANNOT BEAR TO SEE THAT EPISODE. I WILL. KILL. WHO MADE. Worst break up ever. Like bull shit. They filmed that ending with the kids in S1 and didn't think the chemistry between barney and Robin would be so great and they forced it back to Robin and Ted. Forced this divorce
Chemistry but terrible couple and everyone complaint people say they have with Robin and Ted, who had chemistry, was done by Barney and Robin. Even before the wedding, Barney said things like "Marriage is just a piece of paper that doesn't mean anything" I liked the ending, I do think it needed to be extended (and really no reason they couldn't add 2 episodes to do it), but I wouldn't have been upset with the other, but I prefer the one we got.
@@noam8314and he does. Robin is the love of his life he will always love her no matter what. Their ending had nothing to do with THEM it had to do with pushing a narrative that made no sense at all. They were the meant to be couple, real love like this takes time to evolve and they spent more time on them then anything else. They are the real endgame couple, the alternate with their wedding IS the actual ending.
Believe it or not this is a huge W for Barney. He literally changed his whole life to be with her and she betrayed him. Now he has a daughter whom He loves very much and is free.
They did this so ted could end up with her but i feel they should have ended it with ted happy with 'the mother' . Writers almost always mess up the last season 😢
Robin wasn't even good with Ted to begin with. They broke up for a good and justified reason. The original canonical ending shouldn't have made it to the production phase.
I’m going thru this… my.. Ex wife and I made a vow. And despite the love there still, the lie is being together is best… this show means so much to me thru this process
Robin and Barney shouldn't even get married in the first place, Noura was the perfect women for him, she made him change and be a good guy. Dumbing her for Robin was the stupidest mistake in the show
I'm impressed with the author's narrative ability, he did it! He created a plot that causes physical pain in those who watch it! That shit was too synesthetic for me, and I still hate everyone involved
Y'know the finale is crap just cause of this, how's it possible that they got divorced when basically the whole season was for Ted to grow up and understand that if Robin wants to, she can get engaged with anyone else but it didn't matter cause she and Barney got divorced, I mean if you're pretending to tell me that someone must understand that the woman he loves the most is going to marry his best friend and how he overcomes that sadness, the last thing you do is to get them divorced at the finale just cause you want to because you're telling me nothing
Yeah Barney would never want to be around to see the love of his life with his supposed friend. No… Barney would never actually give up that easily on her and Robin would fight for him like she’s done before. Their ending had nothing to do with their relationship it had to do with pushing her towards Ted even though they made no sense together at all especially at the end. The epilogue is terrible I don’t get why anyone likes this ending at all so I will keep saying that Robin ends up with Barney still… because Ted is with Tracy. They tried to erase this relationship and Tracy from the narrative and it completely ruined the show. They shot themselves in the butt because they couldn’t get over their ending and the fact that Robin and Ted are a terrible couple.
Can people open their mind, and think for a second, that in real life, a couple like Barney and Robin would have never lasted for long term? Their divorce was inevitable. Just because you don't like non-happy endings, doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. Say what you want, but it's a fact that a fragile couple like Barney and Robin, where both sides are so afraid and fragile about commitment, would have divorced after a few years.
I thought the same thing, that maybe the writers' intent was to mimick what happens in real life. People spend years (in this case the build up of an entire season) together loving each other, and trying to work things out, but inevitably get divorced. It's the closest feeling you'll get to experiencing your close friends ending their marriage.
People are so dumb to actually not like this decision. This scene was so close to reality. Individuals like them can never ever workout even a year, no matter how much they love each other. You know whose marriage would've worked out? Barney and Nora.
The problem is that it’s wrong from a story telling perspective. You don’t waste a season in order to shove a middle finger into the audience’s face. It’s like reading Harry Potter only to find out that Harry only needed to tell Voldemort he smelled instead of destroying the horcruxes.
@Kevin D'Sa what no the entire season 8 and 9 was dedicated to fixing barny and robins problems and they did and she liked the bear when he brought it out it's ok to be immature at times but they spent so long building this up what is the point if they were going to split them up the whole time
You know what I want in my fun escapism show about a man meeting the mother of his kids and moving on from a bunch of failed relationships?? The show writers to have filmed an ending at the end of the first season, and that nessecitating the negation of entire character arcs and seasons worth of story
Honestly, the only thing I didn't like is that it was so rushed at the end.... They get married, they divorced, the mother dies, Ted goes back to Robin in less than half an hour. That's what bothered me. But also, it was supposed to end around season 4/5 so maybe this ending would have felt more natural if there had been less twists and turns in their relationships....

This is the one part I didn't get, but I've assumed they wouldn't tell Ted the truth, and that Barney likely cheated on her (stinson curse) even if it was accidental.

I hate that they split up too but I just realized, this is somewhat close to reality A fuckboy who changed but who we thought he changed actually just still wants to play and hit some women, specifically young women The only thing that completely changed him is his daughter Is'nt that some women had the same experience what Robin experienced? A woman friendzoning one of her bestfriend guy and her choosing a socially skilled dude even tho she knew he's a fuckboy she still went unto him because she sees him changed even tho she knew he knows how to manipulate,... Thus over the time she realized he will never changed at all, and she goes back to her bestfriend guy and tries to take him after he already had someone similar to her a much beautiful and loyal woman than her, thus she tells her bestfriend guy "I wish all men are like you" I had the same experience as Ted to Robin once I had a bestfriend who's a girl, I finally got the courage to asked her out, she told we should stay friends because it'll ruin our friendship and she doesn't find me attractive(Because I wasn't a tall-guy, she literally said it) and she sees me as brother,... Years later, we went to different University, she had a boyfriend, I had a girlfriend She and her boyfriend brokeup 2 years after, me and my girlfriend just got our first year,... My bestfriend-girl called me asking if we could go eat somewhere together because she told me she's in Town(We live in the same Town together), I told my gf if she wants to come along, she said I should talk to her alone So I agreed, and asked my bestfriend we could eat somewhere near my house so I'll just walk We got into some Cafe, she told me everything about her failed relationship, and she tried to hit on me,...Holding my hand, touching me, etc. I know she's try'na do some signal shit, but I told her bout my happy relationship and she kinda flipped mood, she went happy to see me to who-the-fuck-is-this-guy? Anyway I asked her to meet her, she refused and told me, she's going back to her Univerisity and told me she would probably would never see me for a very long time After a very long time(a year or two) we see each other again in our Town,... I already got a kid, she's still single but she finished her Degree and she's successful We hugged, I introduced her to my wife, turns out they already knew each other and they didn't tell me, they've been secretly chatting all day, and meeting up idk every week I guess, (Atleast that's what I've heard from them) I'm glad they've become more bestfriend than we are to each other, we talked all day, sharing every information, gossips, etc. At the end of the week, my bestfriend had to go back to her job, she's way too rich, she's in some high level promotion on some big Company After she left the town, my wife told me, my bestfriend had huge feelings towards me, she knows because my bestfriend told her,... My wife told me my bestfriend regretted everything,... Although she's happy that I'm together with the best woman in the world Anyway my bestfriend is now the God-Mother of my second child, and she's named after her
