I bought a 1 owner M-250 I owned it for 21 years. I did too it as much as I could for the money I had. Anybody that doesn’t know what an M - 250 is that is a mercury Canadian belt. I sold it to a great family down in Marysville Washington who are now the new caretakers of The beautiful 1966. It came with an original 260 straight six. With a 356 rear end factory locked farm truck. I had to change it over to 373 rear end. Kept the original 260 which was tired from sitting for so long. Installed a 300 street sex drove her for 10 years like that until she got tired That was the time she got some life. 400 HP 347 stroker. There was a lot other work what did to her same colour.I believe it was Something like Caribbean aquamarine. I never did paint the truck as I always love that color. that’s amazing same Colour in a crew cab. I’m jealous
My grandpa liked trucks. Every new truck he bought the next day had a new camper and some USA flags stickers on it. He always washed and waxed it. So it was always look clean. His old chevy he traided in sold the day after he traided it in. Because it was looking nice and clean. Can't wait to see how the truck is built
I'm becoming a ford guy again a bad experience with a 5.4 4x4. Now I have 3 66, two trucks and an econoline. 250 all original runs great "now of course", and a short bed step side with 302and c4. Put a 300 in the econoline w/ original 3 on the tree. Tight fit but I like that one the most right now. I'm shortening the 250 steering column. I have no idea how far dudes drove that truck back in the day but it'll be safer than hugging it anyway.
Great video! Cool looking 66 and hopefully we get to see the finished results! The 64 looked amazing as well. If that guy is in Nashville then he needs to bring it down for the grand nationals for all of us to see. I was lucky enough to obtain a 64 aluminum grill from Ford just literally a couple of weeks before they obsoleted the part number. It was on emergency back order for nearly 3 months before I received it and cost less than $200 new back in the 90s. Absolutely gorgeous and still sitting in my shop unused. I wish I had ordered a dozen of them back then!
I said the same thing since it's practically already there. I have noticed something that has changed over the years. complete factory restorations, in other words as close to what it could be purchased like brand new were worth more money. but that's not the case anymore.
The old man who runs a antique store in my town has had one of those since new, think he's on his 3rd or 4th engine now with at least 5 paint changes that I can remember lol
The V-10 Triton engine wants a word with you, but please make sure that it is the 7.3 liter one, as the 6.0 liter one has reliability issues, though they are minor and they can be fixed with the right custom/aftermarket parts.
I really need to hang out with you Solomon. You seem to find some of the most ultra rare Ford trucks. First Gold Dust, then the B100 and now the 1966 slick Crew Cab. What the truck?
My papa had a 66 single cab, 352 3 speed, short bed. Black paint, on red, chrome package. His mining boss drove his 62 Galaxy 406 4 speed off a slick WV road .. totaling the car. Guess where its drivetrain & 406 flags went ???
Man I like your videos but when Britt Shore was talking about the history of the truck, that background “music” was an annoying distraction. What is the purpose of background music when someone is speaking anyway?
i have it set to 6% but sometimes when the person is talking softly or quiet it doesnt sound as good. the point of the background music is to make the video sound nice
