Back when Hollywood had a sense of humor we were able to watch programs like Barney Miller. Thanks for posting these episodes for us to enjoy my friend, good stuff! 👍 👍
Great show, I used to watch this, along with Kojak, Dragnet, Perry Mason, Sanford and Son, Starski and Hutch, The Highway Patrol, oh the list goes on and on, anyways Thanks for sharing 👍
My favorite episode! The interplay between the so-called " married " couple hits all the right notes, the Ooo from the audience when the coatrack falls. The best is Nehemiah Persoff as the Immigration Agent. His line, " Oh, sure! Give me your tired and your poor...big talk from a statue! " cracks me up every time!
Thank you to whoever taped this! I didn't start watching Barny Miller until l was out of high school in 1979. But loved it from the first time l saw them. Sony Pictures has taken the 3 episode blocks, without commercials down from You Tube and l'm pissed! Wish l could call the 12th Precinct about this infringement of Free TV! 😢
Love that you included the original commercials with! Touche`! I see that the blurry quality was mentioned, but it was, after all, taped via Betamax, hence your name, "It's Not Blurry... Facepalm to all those who didn't already know what to anticipate.. Whoosh! Lol. I'd much rather view the original style taping, even with the tracking issues. Makes it much more authentic 😸 Thx for sharing, It's Not Blurry, It's Betamax!!! I am your newest sub 🙂
Fun to show my grandchildren what we watched on tv i ancient times. POI: Funny back in the day I do not remember show being so blurry. I realize it's a VHS copy but still. Our eyes are used to 1080p now days. Granddaughter asked me PopPop why is picture so fuzzy. Lol
Cant do that. This was recorded on Beta. Betamax was a system designed by SONY. It was competing in the early 1980s with the VHS system developed by General Electric but licensed to JVC. GE didnt think the technology was profitable. By 1986, VHS had won in the US and Beta had failed. So Betamax never really got passed the "beta" stage to develop higher quality imaging. But in order to play back Beta cassettes a VHS adapter had to be made. This is why the tracking looks messed up
@@GalaxieMarauder That's unfortunate as there were a couple of funny expressions that Jack Soo gave throughout the episode that was distorted by the lines.
That’s a typical tactic that someone who knows they will go nowhere uses to try to get ahead of others they don’t like. In reality in most cases it doesn’t work and sometimes that’s why you see on the news about an employee that shot and killed his coworkers.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
