Baroness is a band from Savannah, Georgia whose members grew up together in Lexington, Virginia.
Baroness formed in mid-2003, founded by former members of the punk/metal band Johnny Welfare and the Paychecks. Singer John Baizley creates the artwork for all Baroness albums, and has done artwork for other bands and labels.

There are few bands if any that put out such a positive vibe and still are considered metal or stoner metal/rock, whatever they want to call it. They break new ground, heavy music that makes you feel good. There is a positivity to their music that is hard to describe.

After Yellow and Green was released, the band got into a car accident on the road and he and the bassist left

I catched the band with Pete still on it, and a year later without him... whole different vibe, Allen and Pete are the biggest losses the band has had in my opinion :c

Miss them obviously but they still sound awesome live Imo, Gina is an extremely good guitarist and a top top tier backing vocalist. I was bummed Pete was leaving but Gina kicks ass so it wasn’t so bad. Also allen was great too but Seb is also a great drummer Imo.
