Thank you for showing us Turkey. My picture of it was so different. I thought it would be drier. Of all the places you have been, it is one of the most (if not the) most beautiful countries. The cities seem so unspoiled by crappy architecture. Thank you for putting it on my bucket list.
The submarine you saw is a Type 209 diesel boat. The Seahawk helicopter and Perry class frigate are both ASW platforms so I assume you stumbled upon an anti-submarine exercise. The Seahawk may have been assigned to the frigate.
Thanks for taking my wheelchair bound butt on this adventure with Zatara. I've been watching you for years, and always have fun watching you all make life real, and full of fun. I'm 69 years old, and the only living member of my family still alive. Life can get a bit lonely, so I keep myself busy watching friends like the Zatars crew to get me by.
That fan motor looks just like a bathroom ventilation fan motor and the bathroom fan motors usually have the long shaft. I end up mixing and matching parts on fan motors to make exactly what I need.
finally finished the binge today! I watched all 249 videos in this watchlist and circumnavigated the earth along with you. That was a treat. Thanks for bringing all of us along. I get a great deal of pleasure from editing videos but I'm not so great at it. could be much better. I'm not so great at telling a story, so I wanna watch these all again as a lesson in video editing and story telling. Strange to watch the first one again just now and seeing how much Keith has changed in just 6 years. Renee hasn't changed much. ;) I was still living in south Florida in 2016 when you started on your adventure and I remember watching tall masted monohulls going under those bridges. and now I live in Texas. go figure. feels like a lifetime ago too. Anyway, keep them coming!!
Turkey has more to offer then I realized! Their coastline with rocky shoreline reminds me of Pacific Northwest and urban area looks clean and inviting.
Amazing stuff seeing functional and loving family like yours. I grew up with both of my parents being heroin addicts,i cant remember if we were happy even one damn day. Watching your channel gives me feeling and memories i never had. Thank you a lot for uploads,God bless you and safe travels.
A Big Rocky Top shoutout to the entire Zatara crew from Knoxville Tennessee (a.k.a., Lil Texas 😎) I got hooked on your channel all the way back in Season 1 shortly after you purchased the monohull. Keith and Renee, y’all have done an amazing job with, not only producing all the videos and marketing the channel, but also with raising your family! You’ve got great kids and I have the upmost respect for you both!! 👍👍 Well done and continued safe travels! 🤙
Greeting to u love song Rocky Top Tennessee that just bought back many great times hearing this band Southern cross band in Yorktown Heights New York the Gemini club always ended with that song and Free Bird sorry to get off about this great family and there amazing for round the world adventure god bless 🙏🙏🙏
It was so nice meeting you guys at the marina and now watching my city from your perspective is really something, enjoy your time here hope our paths cross again
Just imagine, the whole of Southern Europe, especially around the Mediterranean countries suffer from drying out. So if you meet rain, rain, rain, it is such a blessing, ablessing, rain is a blessing in these locations. Walter
Ah, what impeccable music taste you guys have, and play pretty well too - Keith knocking out a great number from Extreme and Finn just improvising what does indeed sound a bit like Led Zep's Going to California. Sailing and video skills aren't bad either😀. Hoping you'll spend some time around Paxos and Corfu and the mainland opposite - we manage to get a bareboat charter there most years, there are some beautiful spots and would be cool to see it from your perspective!
Really enjoyed hearing the VHF exchange between the Brit and the American. Such different training on VHF etiquette and such a different approach to authority on the high seas too.
That was really cool, the submarine and the ship, the helicopter, great video, I really love watching you shop in other countries, thank you for taking me along for the ride 👍🙏❤️😎🐳til next time, ciao ciao
Really enjoy watching Keith work on the boat, he should have some sort of DIY channel or maybe even a custom build type of thing (probably after the kids move out).
Its currently snowing up here in Montana! The belt area was dumped on yesterday. I'm just hoping it doesn't stick today. Enjoy the sun & thanks for sharing!
What a beautiful part of the world you’re in! The drone and camera footage, editing and most of all that guitar music on the beach really is so stunning. This is what quality parenting looks like. Thanks for taking us all along on your epic journey. Blessings and much Aloha from Oregon 🙏💜🌎☮️🌎💜🙏 🛥
I have followed you since day one and your videos never get old! Taking kids out on the water all over the world should be a prerequisite to raising great kids, and you have done a great service to our countries future!
WHEW!! Hey everyone, I've just finished binge watching all your amazing videos. I decided to start at the beginning because if not, it's sort of like watching a movie from the middle and trying to understand what's happened up to now. I'm so glad I went back to the start. There is so much awesome content here that I had trouble getting away from it once I started. What you are doing for and with your family is mega commendable! I have to say, there were times when I laughed so hard my face hurt (some would say it does anyway) and when times were hard and goodbyes were happening, I had tears running down my face. Congratulations on your amazing circumnavigation experience!! Now, it's time to get over to the store and figure out what kind of "merch" I want. It's all about me ya know...lol. Fair winds and following seas!!
In lots of places in the northern Med and in Turkey and Greece in particular, making a fire is prohibited. It’s a natural park in a lot of places. Huge fine as a minimum.
Seeing you guys on the beach talking playing your guitar that’s what families used to be like. Don’t you sometimes think had you never done this what your life would be like with your kids? they could’ve got mixed up with wrong crowds drugs fighting all the time. This was the best thing you could have ever done. your family will always be bonded and close, my sad thought is what if they get a little older and want to leave like Anna. Where will that leave you I hope they just carry on with you guys and bring their families along. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching you. ❤️❤️
Good Video. Thanks for sharing. I particularly like that fact that you put the dates in the start of every day, makes the progression of time (days) make sense for weather, days between shopping and waiting for parts, etc. Much more immersive with the dates. Hope to see you seaside some time in the future.
Do you guys not fish anymore? I havent seen any fishing or cooking on the go in a long time. Im sure different regions have different types fo seafood to catch and cook and share. Would love to see more.
Thank you for taking us all on your journey. Beautiful water and coastline there with some excellent videography as always. You all be careful and God bless and keep you all. And, Skipper Keith you sounded kind of out of breath throughout the video so you take care of yourself kiddo! 😉💓⛵🙏
Finn is such a delight. I thought he was going to bust into song when he yelped😁. Keith, that Southern Cross guy was pretty friendly for a Brit but im surprised that you were too casual even though you made the enquiry.
Every new anchorage a unique place, fresh vistas, discovery, and adventures…..and another shopping trip to the marine supply to pick up a deck cover to replace the one you dropped overboard! Been there, dropped that!
So I live in Worden, MT. We just had a nice spring winter storm. Grass is greenish, and the prediction with the large amount of snow we still have in the mountains is the cheat grass will be at least knee high and budded by the end of June. I will be out on fires by then, especially in the south AZ through TX as they already are burning a bit. Two more years and I'll be snowbirding in the carribean on my own boat I hope. Cheers
Groovy video as always. Following your day in the life episodes are entertaining. Stay safe and stay groovy. Finn is becoming quite the good little guitar player.
Yep you are lucky to be there! And hell I am still getting snow in the Blue mtns of Washington State!! It is still getting down in the 20s at night and only got up to 38 today!! Are first snow was October 28 and still getting snow on April 21!!
Just amazing all the fix it things that go on regularly, was the things you were replacing because of faulty design or things just wear out. Always entertaining , thanks so much.
Hey guys, I love the channel been watching for a long time but this is the first time I comment. I was watching you walk around Turkey and I giggled when I realized you had a Z on your hat, most people around there probably think that means go Putin go lol.
Repair your fan motor: remove the bottom bearing, clean the shafts (top & bottom), polish the shaft with emery cloth, drop of lube top & bottom and reassemble. Have repaired hundreds of fan and phonootors of this type. Good luck!
great clip keeping it real with weather changes, boat maintenance and everyday normality, amusing watching jack hogging seat in rib while sister bounced around on deck in choppy ride back to yacht lol, love it keep it going and thanks for sharing
It looks like you guys are getting outfitted for your journey across the Atlantic if I remember right. Have a good time and keep the good stuff coming.
Love the videos guys thanks for sharing watching from New Bedford Massachusetts just outside cape cod New Bedford is the largest grossing fishing port for the last 20 years in the United States. Once again, thank you for posting your videos. I enjoy them so much.
Great to see these videos every week!!! Keith is the guru of DIY!! God bless you all! When do you guys plan to spend the New Years eve in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 again?? Take care and safe sailing ⛵️
Get It Keith With Some Eric Clapton.. I'm Convinced there's nothing Keith Cannot do. I've been hooked on y'alls channel since season 1. What an Amazing Family Y'all Have.. Family's Theses Days Are Not Close Nit Like Y'all Are Cherish every moment.. Love Y'all From Arkansas.
Wow that was a wild ride back to the boat😂😂 love watching your videos. I’ve been a subscriber since you started. Watching the kids grow up ….amazing how quick time flies. ❤❤❤stay safe!
You need to teach your boys to fix all the things on the boat, see one do one! Especially if they want to charter or captain in the future and basically be INVALUABLE 🎉❤🎉
Just wanna say I’m very Jelly! You guys are living the dream! I love how you guys really get out and see land! You guys are awesome! Keith, buddy.. seems like you could use “we” instead of I, a little more.. It’s really nice to see how well your kids get along.. I know we don’t get to see it all but you can tell they are great kids! Congrats on your way of living!
Keith made fix'n that ice maker look easy...I'm thinking Jack & Fin need a sailboat to buddy boat with the Zatara boat...twice the work...I mean fun...
Been following you guys for quite a while now...love the content! Glad to see you do the full circle and head for Greece (unless you're already there). What are the future plans for Zatara...is there another boat in the making?
I recognise that bay (Binlik Koyu) you med moored in from my sailing days when I was younger. The bay across from there Hamam Koyu has some nice ruins for exploring. A really nice area for sailing and exploring.
