Barriss fell on the dark side and betrayed Jedi Order > Jedi guardian fell on the dark side because of Barriss and her speech and became The Great Inquisitor > he hunted down and killed her old master. such irony
I really wanted to see more from her. We saw her twice and then she came out of nowhere and framed Ahsoka. I wish we could have seen how Luminara responded to this.
4:34 chilling when he says "If there's one thing we Clones know - It's how to stop a Jedi." Since later on they hunt down and kill all the Jedi with O66
This girl says the Jedi only believe in violence yet when she admits to bombing the temple I'm just like...😒😖, also does anyone else think she looks like a Nun?
God, imagine being in that class of younglings and seeing one of the most famous and powerful Jedi ever and a padawan learner trained by Luminara Unduli wielding 2 red lightsabers fighting on the roof of the Jedi Temple and the fight is so bad that the Jedi Temple Guards step in. That’d be wack man. Like “Hey did you hear about the fight today?” “No? Who fought? Was it billy and Kyle? Kyle’s an ass.” “No. It was Anakin Skywalker and Bariss Offee” “What!?” “Yeah! Bariss had some red lightsabers and was fighting Master Skywalker on the roof!” “Bro what!! That’s crazyyyy.....”
Justus Gadgets right there. Thank you person, there isn’t a particular light side and dark side ignition for their sabers and people keep trying to tell me other wise
So basic important parts of her story is she arrives on geonosis with her master, first destroys a separatists factory, then gets possessed by a worm, and then she turns to the dark side, destroys the jedi temple, betrays her friend and the jedi. Wow talk about a slow traumatic experience to turn from good to evil and here I thought Anakin/vader had it rough!
Barriss was just as tragic as Anakin. Even the live action Barriss, Nalini Krishan from Episode II, said she deserves a better send-off than what she got in TCW.
I know this comment is 2 years old, but I think you don't need traumatic experience to fall. Something has lead her to it, but it didn't have to be a tragic backstory. I still think the writers could've handle it better. They just had to get rid of Ahsoka since she wasn't in ROTS, and used Bariss' character for it. But that's just my opinion.
It seemed really out if the blue for Barriss to be the one behind the temple bombing. We really got very little indication she would do this. Kind of a plot hole left unresolved. But it resulted in Ahsoka's survival!
True. But I think it could have been a lot of things. Krell falling to the dark side, constant attacks on the temple, obi wan falsifying his death, Jedi being generals and not keepers of the peace. I can’t remember if it’s true or not (legends maybe) but I thought I read somewhere she was often out and about with Corascant citizens and such, and became accustomed to their criticisms of the Jedi and the war.
I think what Ahsoka says Anakin would say is really how the Jedi code should be. "It's our duty as Jedi to move past our emotions". That doesn't mean ignore them. Emotions are what make us alive; what make us have connection to those we care about. That includes those we would protect if we were Jedi. But it seems like most of the Jedi Council believes emotions should be repressed; ignored. That just makes you an empty shell with a lightsaber. Jedi should allow their emotions to thrive, but when needed, move past them as to not be consumed by them.
I really liked Barriss as a jedi she was calm cool & had the coolest accent. Its too bad she ended up killing innocents in her realization of the jedi corruptions. I would be lying if I did not think she was a hardcore duelist in the end. And that undercover outfit in season five was just super cool!!
Yes, it's been a little while since I watched the episode, but I get the feeling he never liked, let alone trusted Ahsoka since they first met in his rescue from the Separatist prison. Fairly sure he was on the prosecution side throughout the search and trial.
Jokie155 Tarkin is a very professional and quite heartless individual. Overly dedicated to his work and has some dismissive views towards the Jedi. Him taking the prosecutor side doesn’t seem to be quite personal, but just him taking the job. Also, given that he became Palpatine’s right hand man and commander of the Death Star during the Empire years, it was probably Palpatine who told him to be the prosecutor against Ahsoka.
In legends she was killed at the temple during order 66 (shot while in prison) while in a deleted scene from Revenge of the Sith she was on Felucia and was crushed by a republic machine (I forgot what it is called...). I would've liked her to be revealed as the Second Sister (and NOT die) but that didn't happen :(
Feminazi Rein Francks, you “hate” her because she’s like a Muslim? That’s hare speech. To generalize a entire religion is foolish. I liked her because she seemed to be modelled after Islamic faith and beliefs, to be loyal and self-sacrificing. She was corrupted. Y the Dark Side but even so she knew it was wrong and unnatural to suppress her own emotions and her own opinions, which is what the defunct Jedi Order seems to be about.
She was right, the first to uncover the truth. It's so frustrating watching her trial. Like, the blind leading the blind while the puppet master laughs. She got screwed just like Maul
I wonder if she’ll appear in season 7. She was pretty interesting and she also appeared in episode III along with her master. So it’s got me wondering about the timeline now.
Z. Xyrel i meant in the scene where the jedi are in palpatine’s office. check this out, here is a screenshot in the movie . starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Barriss_Offee?file=FiveFamousJediContinueToFailToDetectTheSith-AotC.jpg
Barriss be like: “The republic will be destroyed soon and you will all die! And chancellor is a sith by the way lmao” And Palpatine then is like: “What?!!! No spoilers on MY channel!!!! TaKe HeR aWaY!”
With the empire defeated I wonder if ahsoka found barriss and she forgave her and reforms her to join her in training a new better group of Jedi along with some ahsokas other surviving friends and Jedi from clone wars and rebels in one of the hidden Jedi worlds while Luke trains his Jedi in the first Jedi temple
Well...in legends she was killed by Operation Knightfall and in a deleted scene from ROTS she was fighting droids on Felucia but got crushed by a clone tank.
Well yes, Ahsoka was under the impression that Anakin left her the key card when in actuality it was Barriss. Barriss wanted her to escape and in the process make herself look more guilty so there would be less of a chance that the council could trace the crime back to her.
I love Star Wars but Barriss Offee becoming evil was definitely one of the worst storylines in my opinion. Totally ruined her character. Her dying on Felucia with Aayla Secura during Order 66 was tragic but still better than this.
I don't mind her turning evil and I still enjoy the arc, but I do think that there should have been some build up. If she had expressed her concerns about the order before this arc, the betrayal would have made more sense.
Luna Maria undli treats everyone in clone wars really badly. Wait barris offie is south Africa but luna maria undli is British there same speices but with different accents
@@jarntheman3733 The Grand Inquisitor was a Jedi Temple Guard though and in one of the novels Barriss' speech was said to have aftereffects on his mind. The speech is one of the things that causes him to turn to the dark side.
It’s often brought up that Jedi should be peace keepers and should stay away from leading during wars. But if we look at literally almost all of the history in Star Wars, Jedi have always been successfully leading wars.
Overpowering to cause panic, then seizing the moment of opportunity with the force when successfully parried by his opponent. Nearly every Vader fight ends like this.
Barriss's method of killing innocent people to show the evils of the Jedi was wrong of course. But I completely agree with her criticism. The Jedi of the republic should have supported pacifism and not the violence of the clone army. Barriss realized that something was wrong, followed her heart and made a desperate attempt to get her message through. If other Jedi would have woken up and stood up like her the rise of Palpatine and in the end of the Empire could have been prevented.
In Legends she died at the Jedi Temple (operation knightfall and all that). In a deleted scene from ROTS she was on Felucia fighting droids and was crushed by a clone tank.
Anakin using the force against Barriss is awesome - it shows how much more powerful he is. He was holding back - he needed to get the fight into an area with a lot of witnesses before it was over.
You're not wrong but...she was a Jedi when she bombed the temple. Her point was that the Jedi are no longer what they should be. They aren't protectors of peace anymore, they're soldiers fighting in a war they've started.
Contrary to the popular belief..... she and seventh sister Inquisitor is actually completely different character but they are the same species though judging by their face skin pattern (that spot near their nose but seventh sister have a glowing yellow eyes while Barriss is not)
