Love how this director built upon Zack’s idea on how the flash should run. Zack explained when he’s using the speed force, he glides from the loss of traction and can be very dangerous stepping at those speeds.
The less contact he makes with the surface the faster he goes, pretty simple logic and actually a great idea by Zack but some people just complain without even knowing the reason behind it , even the fastest trains use magnets instead of actual wheels cause that allows them to go much faster than on a normal train wheel , less friction
@davidkosiba624 and props to the director of this film Andy muschietti.he kept barry's running style form zsjl, and he also explored other ideas that zack had put in his films like barry being hungry all the time coz of his powers.even batman and zod weren't nerfed, they still felt really big and powerful figures while fighting
@@davidkosiba624 YEp Even Thawne from the Flash show was said to be able to move faster than Barry not because his legs moved faster but because he was in the air for a slightly longer period of time.
I love the transition 0:22 from blurry running to gliding! Same as rims on cars sometimes seem to go slow at high speeds, or helicopter blades when filmed at a certain framerate. It's the best depiction of Flash running imo 👟
I love the concept and visuals of how him traveling through time works. Like, he is in the center and control of a coliseum-style time table. Sure, it ended up looking fake but the idea behind it is cool.
@@deansmith9914 I know of these things and was never fan of these, matter fact l'm not a fan of the speedforce concept at all but this doesn't stop me from liking the chronoball idea.
it's some sort of evolution/next step for the ability he used to stop Steppenwolf in the Snyder Cut. it made me happy seeing that specific concept/effect on the big screen again, it was probably the closest I'll ever get to seeing the Snyder Cut in theaters.
I genuinely enjoyed this movie. Didn’t understand why people were giving it such much crap. Sure the cgi wasn’t the best but I found it to be memorable and a fun watch. Love this scene.
Junkie XL's "At the Speed of Force" from JL Snyder Cut is better, but Walfisch's take on this theme is amazing! I mean, he played the piano on fire that symbolizes the speed, for crying out loud!
Walfisch's score for this scene sounded like a cross between Blake Neely's music for the CW _Flash_ show and Don Davis' music for _The Matrix._ And that's not a criticism.
0:24 I think speedforce here create a slide so technically flash isn’t running ,he is more like skating on the speedforce slide That explains why his running style goofy but honestly I like the skating style of run
This scene is so emotional. The movie is still 9/10. But the piano fits the scene. And the details with barry from walking to jogging to running is so detailed especially when he taps into the speed force.
@@light_2218don’t You know that if a movie doesn’t have perfect CGI it’s complete and utter dogshit? C’mon man this is basic critiquing rules in 2033.
@@mckvlogs Oh I see I wonder what would happen if he just kept on running until the end of time, or can he only travel to different points in his life idk
As bad as that CGI was in that scene or the “swirling gallery of time”, it’s actually 100x better than the “swirling gallery of time with alternate heroes” at the end of the movie.
If you think that is cool.. heres a few people who also time travelled if you want to check out them.. KANG THE CONQUEROR. Kang corrupted a Multiverse.. REVERSE FLASH.. Reverse Flash corrupted his own timeline into a never ending time loop.. FUTURE TRUNK..Future Trunkz time travelled to the past and accidently created a Alternate Timeline.. PERFECT CELL.. Perfect Cell came from a Alternate Timeline to a different timeline and cteated a Time Paradox.. FIVE.. Five time travelled soo much he created a Time Paradox and a Alternate Time.. THE FLASH.. Time Travelled soo much throughout time he too created a Alternate Timeline, a Time Paradox and he erased Timelines.. HARRY POTTER.. Harry time travelled to the past.. GOKU.. Time Travelled to the past creating a brand new timelime and travelled to different Universe.. DOCTOR WHO.. Time Travelled soo much throughout Time that that others races saw it as a crime and therefore made him the Universe number one enemy..
@@michaeljosephjackson2364 The Spiderverse existed way before The Spiderverse Multiverse before Peter Parker went inside the Spiderverse to connect with the other SpiderMen.. its still on RU-vid.. The 1994 Spiderverse where the selected SpiderMen were hand picked by Madam Webb to team up together to defeat Spider Carnage aka Evil Peter Parker
as a Snyder Cut fan, I saw it as him unknowingly tapping into the same ability that allowed him to save the world from Steppenwolf and the unity, and so I did like the scene
I imagine the feeling of running that fast is like running in water. Seems like the fast he goes the more labor it takes to move his arms and legs, it’s some kind of drag.
@@IceYetiWins Because it's not supposed to. This movie took theoretical ideas of what a person running faster than the speed of light would look like. They used the idea of ice skating and how their lack of friction would cause them to have to make more gliding movements than making complete footsteps. Plus it makes him run faster due to less friction. This is applicable even right now with things like trains using magnets instead of wheels. Watch CW's flash if you wanna see a bunch of speedsters look like they don't know how to run. Ezra actually runs and he achieves the stance he has by people pulling him from behind with a harness. In CW flash they just fucking stand in place and move their arms back and forth and it looks terrible. At least whoever came up with this version of his running actually tried.
I like to think that, when he reaches full speed, it’s kind of like the effect a car tyre has when filmed - it’s going so fast but it looks like it’s moving slow
@@cristhiamg.salgado3845it makes sense he has to run through extremely dense air and a mountain of drag he's probably running like that to get through it like swimming
I generally did not love this movie and I am not an Ezra Miller fan because of what’s come out. However, I will say that the run and time travel is amazing. This is the most creative way to see someone time travel I’ve ever seen.
Do you think it’s possible for him to go back before he was born? I always took it as a flick through memories and seeing which one he can interact with.
Honestly really liked this movie. The cgi really isnt as bad as people said it was. The main problem is the cgi people, thats where it kinda falls apart but the rest honestly looks really good, especially the effects of the time travel and the big chronobowl arena towards the end of the movie when everything is collapsing in on itself.
the cronobowl i felt was a representation of the 5th dimension where all events of time are happening at once the cronobowls are essentially 5th dimensional representations of universes splitting like atoms from each other every time one of the flashes runs back or forwards though time
I loved the movie the CGI wasn't the best ever but it wasn't that bad in most parts and the plot was good the acting was good I don't get why people hate this movie so much
@@Batman-ro9mjkeeping it normal wouldn't make any sense running at that speed, only people who can actually think a bit and understand stuff will know why he runs like that
@@lookherelooklisten7850 That’s a horrible excuse. It could be chalked up to the speed force. It’s a horrible choice to make him run like that. It also doesn’t make any sense that the things around him don’t get decimated each time he runs. But the speed force excuses that. Same could be and has been done for his running.
I liked this variation of time-travel tbh, it's unique But I still prefer the CW's version tho since this one has some contradictions to it, so it takes the second spot
@@baki484 actually, the chronobowl depiction is for the naked eye. This is how we would see events while watching the film. But from the point of view of Flash, he would see a linear path with events crossing each other.
Underated movie tbh imo and yes I understand the CGI is wack but in a fictional pov I understand that a speedster human time travelling and seeing past or future events would look a bit weird to the naked eye well since ...... he's moving through time.
The music score is amazing. Its mesmerizing, and I love how they time the lightning activation spund to match the music (I know many won't know what I mean lol)
I love this version of moving through time as a dimensional plane. He’s experiencing everything at once like doctors manhattan. Barry can move in four dimensions
People give this movie much more hate than it deserved and I really enjoyed it, especially the visuals. Like how can you look at the first 25 seconds and not be amazed by how cool it looks? Like damn that music makes this so badass
What do you think he would be like if he taught Wally West to time travel? Imagine him teaming up with Hot Pursuit in helping him out in Central City since Patty Spivot was introduced at the beginning of this movie?
The speedforce makes him frictionless making it easier and more practical for high speed running (air drag, bugs etc) thus the running form. He gets to near light speed thus giving him infinite mass thats why he seems slows down for a moment before overcoming it and goung FTL thus time travel
Turning back time and going back in time are not the same thing. Turning back time is like a do-over without creating a paradox. Going back in time does create a paradox, depending on which time travel concept we're going with. DC - which can literally change your entire personal timeline, or Marvel/DBZ - which creates an alternate timeline that's separate from your own personal timeline and doesn't involve getting yourself erased from existence or having your memories altered should any changes to the past be made.
He reversed time in Justice League, staying in his own timeline. The Flash movie he jumped timelines picking which place in time he wanted to go in which he ended up creating new timelines
tbh I get what the people are saying when they say "The CGI is *meant* to look bad, in certain places." It's like he's running through his own memories, therefore making everything he sees not-quite reality. I dunno. It works, for me, especially when there's a clear visual distinction between the better CGI and the time-sphere animations.
I believe that the inspiration for that “time travel vision” would be perceiving the 4th dimension being a 3rd dimension being. The same way the tesseract is the shadow of a cube in the 4th dimension, this vision he has is the “shadow” of something from 4th dimension, and since some theories accept time as being the 4th dimension he is really just looking at the 4th dimension
In my opinion, this The Flash movie is good. But the problem is that Andy Muschietti kind of exaggerated the visual effects, and this ends up ruining the viewer's experience.
Love it or hate it, gotta give him prop for the way he run. Notice how the front of his feet always touch the ground first and the back of his feet only touch the ground for an instance. It's called forefoot strike and it's a technique that help reduce impact on your joints while running
I know some of us may not really like this running style, but I can somewhat understand it. Once you've reached this speed you just need to let the momentum push your body forward, adjusting your direction only at necessary moments touching the ground. Although I don't really like the cgi here, that and some more being the main reasons why I haven't watched it yet.
