This song was tailor made for Robin's beautiful emotion filled voice. I just came over to this post from an amazing, bittersweet performance of Robin singing this in 2010. You could tell he was hurting and weak yet he still gave a spectacular performance that caused tears for many in the comments including me. I do have to say a few things here though. I was a bit taken aback when Barry started to sing this song and I could tell right at the get go it was not meant for his voice. When he yielded over to Robin's stunning performance here from before, I have never felt so proud of and thrilled with what Barry did and the way he did it. That also brought tears to my eyes. Now I have to add the fact that before I watched the 2010 performance of Robin singing a stellar "I Started a Joke", I watched 2 other Robin performances of Barry's "Words". The first one I watched was in 2005, the 2nd was 2010. That song was IMHO NOT made for Robin's voice. I wondered also why he sang it at least twice. I love all 3 of their voices. They each are gorgeous and Andy's too. But they sang lead on the songs that fit their voices best. They ALL had unique and magnificent voices. Not one that made the Bee Gees but all complimented each others in harmony and a special sound that was out of this world. One was NOT better than all the others. Ok I just really felt a need to get that off my chest. Rant over.
He doesn't do goofy thing on stage, no gimmicks, not a lot of fan fare. He didn't need all that. His voice was all he needed. He was humble, and unassuming. He didn't act stuck on himself. We will always love and miss him!! WE LOVE YOU ROBIN!

I love Robin Gibbs voice he had such a high voice and beautiful voice now bury headed all of them had beautiful voices Barry had a beautiful voice movies had a beautiful voice but Robin voice is so beautiful I'm not saying he's voices better holla but he had such a beautiful voice an endearing voice just like his wife said she heard the most beautiful voice and it was Robbins and he was a very unique person to I mean unlike the other ones I mean he made a lot of records by himself and he did some with his son RJ his son's looks so much like him and his daughter she looks so much like him and Barry sons look like him too all of them and his daughter looks like him plus she looks like her mother too and the sons look like their mother to Maurice's kids look like him to his son looks like him when he was younger taller I believe in his daughter is taller I believe I'm not sure I can just tell by the way they look in their heights by the videos Maurice's wife is very beautiful to all their wives are beautiful they were some lucky guys to get them beautiful women like they did and so such caring women and good women and then women got some good men to especially good-looking ones and sexy looking ones and caring men Soulful men and all their children are taking an interest in music I think it's wonderful I'm so proud I'm getting to learn more about the disease videos on RU-vid I used to listen to them when I was younger

I had three brothers that passed away and my parents have passed away and I had a son that was born too early but lift be 15 months old and he passed away and it's very hard to lose all these people so I am totally understand about losing people but Barry went through so much more of losing his brothers because he was on stage with them for so many years and I know he is completely lost without them but he has the strength and his wife and son got him to get out there and just keep doing it and his son Steven on the stage with him and his niece Samantha this man Barry Gibb has so much strength and endurance to go through all that he's went through in his lifetime he is such a great man and the Bee Gees are Legends
I was lucky enough to see,The Bee Gees 5 times in concert.And Andy once and they came on,and sang 5 songs with him.The last time I,saw them was in Las Vegas,They were and for ever.The best band ever.There voices there writing... Sir Barry WAS in an emotional state if you watch closely. Once the video of Robin begins to run, you can see Sir Barry turn his back to the audience, sip on some water--such an action is usually a sign of a person holding back tears, or crying. I cry every time I play this video. This song in itself has been an ironic reminder of Robin's passing, and exchange the lyrics that come after Robin sings "... til I finally died," to "...which started the whole world crying..." instead of "...which started the whole world living." EJ Macomb said it all a few comments back, "This performance brings so much emotions."

I can feel Barry's pain for the loss of his brothers. I can only cry for this. How painful it must have been for Barry. Yes it's true that his voice is no match to Robin's but Barry got his own style. I love Mo too but my heart bleeds, breaks and smiled only for Robin.

When we lose someone it is so difficult to go on, but we must. Barry must feel a tremendous loss not having his brothers with him. Even I feel the pain. I don’t know how he made it through the rest of the night after featuring Robin. Robin had an amazing voice... the best of the three and certainly among the top three in the world. It’s natural for the children of famous artist to follow in their parents footsteps, but honestly if their parents weren’t famous there’d never make it to the stage and it would be best if they didn’t because they just don’t have the talent. Sad, but true.
